I used my Walmart sub to tryout Crave last night. Every 10 mins of ad, and if I get unlucky I get stuck on ad hell. Ads after ads then “An error occured”. Thanks to the tryout, I won’t be subscribing to this disappointment.

Okay so I have an awesome TV. Samsung S90d. Disney plus, Netflix, Apple, they all look amazing in 4K.

Crave looks awful. Like house of the dragon looked so bad it bothered me. And I just booted up Superman, same thing.

And here’s the wild part: If I screen mirror my crave on my phone to my TV the image is better! Not amazing, but noticeably better.

I love some of the content on this app but I pay for premium and it shouldn’t look like this.

Has anybody had this issue and fixed it? Taking all possible solutions here. I could really use the help because… man, it actually does have great shows. And it wasn’t this bad before.

Tl;Dr no video but sound will play when trying to watch Lanterns on Crave app on Roku

Anyone else having this issue? I’m using the Crave app on a Roku, which is all up to date, and it only happens for this show.

Ever since Lanterns premiered I’ve had issues watching. I’d start the episode, the ad will play perfectly fine and then when the actual show would start it would just be a black screen while the sound played fine. I eventually figured out I could solve this by hitting either fast forward or rewind once and then the opposite button to get it back to where the video just was.

This will fix the issue until it randomly happens again at any given time throughout the episode. These random mid-episode occurrences take more effort with the rewinding/fast forwarding trick to fix, for example just tonight I think I had to stay skipped ahead 30 seconds or so for the video to cooperate.

In Canada if that's important

It's been a couple of days and the app is not loading anything. Keeps saying "An error occurred" then restarts. I've tried restarting my PS5, reinstalled the app, and double checked the internet to make sure it's not the issue.

Anyone else having this issue?

On my nvidia shield, the crave app it is barely usable. Shield is wired, ie no WiFi. All other apps (Netflix, disney, prime..) work fine. Crave freezes, tons of buffering, stuttering, crashes etc.

I must say that the crave app works perfectly well on a firestick 4K at home with WiFi on the same hardware...

Both outputs in 4K/UHD HDR so this is really the crave app on nvidia/goole tv/android that is broken as the same app on firestick with the same hardware (projector, receiver etc) works fine

And the interface on shield/google tv is ....awful. For example when I press the "back" button when watching something, it always send me back to the "choose profile" page instead of the previous page... The navigation/buttons work perfectly well on firestick

Please fix the crave app on nvidia shield (google tv android) as it is unusable as is

The problem does not seem to be related to the output resolution. The app has the same problems even when setting the shield to output video in HD (1080p)...

I recently bought a Crave subscription and installed the app on the family TVs. Samsung and LG.

The app is unusable on both. It lags, crashes, hangs. The video stops, stutters, loses audio sync. Can't get through 10 minutes of anything without problems. All other streaming apps work just fine. It's not internet bandwidth problem.

Am I missing something or the app just not functional? Who is paying for this service?

Every time I try to play a download, it starts to load and then comes up with a connection error. The app is up to date. I've tried restarting my phone, turning off data. Going into airplane mode. Nothing works.

Yesterday I sat down to watch Lanterns and it wouldn't play any sound. I’m streaming off my Xbox one. I tried changing language and reinstalling. My other streaming platform works so it Crave. When I start something there’s a crackle and then nothing.

Crave works on my other devices. Any tips?

Every time I look 'where to watch' online for a movie and it says crave, the version i get is in french. Is my account broken or does the movie selection just suck for english speakers?

If I try to sign in via my profile that has a pin, black screen. Created a new profile with a pin, black screen. Created a profile without a pin, works great. I tried clearing the cache, updating Crave to latest version, deleting and reinstalling app, power cycled, no dice. Any ideas? Can login to the profiles that have pin just fine via phone or PC, which leads me to believe it's a roku issue.

When i try to sign in through tv provider, i'm redirected to this screen. I have no other idea for how to use the crave app with my tv's subscription.

Too many ppl trying to watch lanterns? What an abysmal platform.

Opened Crave tonight to watch the new episode of Lanterns and it's saying we are not subscribed. We have our Crave subscription though Telus and there hasn't been any changes. Anyone else having this issue tonight?

Is it normal for crave to use the tv censored cut of films?

I am curious if others have this problem. While watching a film, especially more than half-way through, after the 4 ads play, the film doesn’t restart but I just get the buffering swirl. To get back to the film I have to go back to the app and resume it. Then I get 4 more ads!! So I have to watch 8 ads and do this manipulation to see the end of a film. The ads also seem to come more often although I haven’t timed it. Does anyone experience anything like this? Obviously very annoying. My wifi is super strong, 800 mbs.

I have an issue. I connect a PC to TV via HDMI. The TV is seen by both Radeon RX 480 Video Card and 580 Video Card. But the Radeon RX 480 Video Card doesn't see the sound input of TV for me to select from PC.

With the Radeon RX 480 Video Card when I click on tray sound I cannot see the TV in the list. Cannot find the TV in device manager either. Is like PC doesn't know the TV has sounds as well, but the video works perfectly.

Same PC with video card Radeon RX 580 Video Card detects the TV audio automatically.

So the issue is clearly video-card related.

I reinstalled all drivers, nothing.
