Adding to the fleet...
Seeking advice/ideas: We have a 1/18 scale Hilux crawler and a 1/10 scale Base Camp. Both are tons of fun and we've done various upgrades, likely with more to come. We're hoping to add two more crawlers to the fleet. One would be something for my nephew's friends to use when one of them tags along. Ideally something low-cost but still repairable. Probably 1/10 or 1/12 scale. (Not looking to do upgrades, but I would like to be able to keep it running.) We'd also like to add another good quality 1/10 scale crawler to our collection. (Open to RTR or a kit build.) Do y'all think we should stick with the scx10.3 platform to maximize convenience and the relevance of our repair/upgrade experience? Or should we branch out to learn a different manufacturer/platform?
What would you get for neighborhood kids to inevitably beat up on? And what would you get to keep up with and maybe out do the Base Camp?

Carpra’s are amazing…. And a bit different from what you’ve currently got. Could get it used to save a few bucks.
I’ve always wanted a Cross RC EMO and if you got that, not only could you try out a new platform but I could also live vicariously through the thought of knowing you’ve got one 😁😁

New Red at Vertex 10 is quite capable and well equipped RTR. It’s not the cheapest but it will hold up pretty well with some minor diy upgrades etc.
I got the 10W RTR and it punches way above its class. About 1/2 the cost of one of my custom built class 3 crawlers.
