Sara: “You ever been to a swingers’ party?”
Nick: “Well, if it’s the same thing as a frat party yeah, lots of them. You know, you get enough booze going, things can get pretty wild.” Multiple-partner wild. And it'd be no big deal to have two, maybe three—”
This conversation is so absurd, that I am still angry about it at least 2 weeks since seeing it for the first time.

Edit: It made me angry in so many ways at one time. I'll try to hit some reasons why that I remember:
- Swinger parties are NOTHING like frat parties other than both are types of parties. I won't publicly state how I know this.
- It is not common for a guy to hook up with 2 or 3 women at a time at a frat party (which Nick claims). That would be highly unusual.
- It would not even be common for a guy to hook up (by himself) with 2 or 3 women at a swinger's party.
- The whole presentation of the party at the beginning of the episode was absurd and overly grand and salacious. This misrepresentation was fresh in my mind. it was a bunch of old dudes each with 2 young model-quality women hanging all over them. This would not happen in real life absent prostitution, and the prostitutes would have to be high end escorts to look like that.
- This conversation seemed to be specifically designed to validate the absurd presentation made at the beginning of the episode, like maybe the writers knew it was absurd, but they had to sneak in some way to validate it.
- The notion of Sara asking Nick if he had ever been to a swinger's party is absurd, like this is a conversation that ever happens, like a swinger's party is a common enough occurrence that someone would randomly ask another person that (it's not.)
- That Sara would randomly and cavalierly ask a coworker this question. This would be out of place in any work environment, and entirely out of character for Sara.
- And this is the most anger-inducing point. That Nick would respond in such a cavalier manner to such an absurd question with an overly absurd response, and not "Did you really just ask me if I've ever been to swinger's party?" which is how any other person would respond to this question, even if they were an active swinger. His response was even more out of character than Sara's question (given his character history), and that he would immediately make a connection of a swinger's party to a frat party is bizarre. Like Nick is this low key stoic guy and all of a sudden he's like "Yeah I used to have threesomes all the time."
This is not even my entire list of issues with this conversation but hits most of the high notes.
Ok I'll add another one.
- That Nick makes so great of a connection between swinger parties and frat parties, and so much of connection, that he literally says he's been to swinger's parties. He says:
"Well, if it’s the same thing as a frat party yeah, lots of them."
He immediately literally says a frat party is the same thing as a swinger's party, and that he's been to a ton of them. This statement is completely illogical from any vantage point and indefensible. It's like if somebody asked "Have you been Montana," and your response was "Well if Montana is the same thing as Rhode Island, then yeah, I've been to Montana 20 times," and the person said this because they went to Rhode Island 20 times, but never ventured west of the Mississippi River. No have you haven't been to Montana, you've been to Rhode Island. Montana is a completely different thing than Rhode Island. Yes they are both states in the USA, but no one would even immediately just say they are the same thing. Even if I use a closer analogy like Idaho, it's still absurd. Somebody that went to Idaho 20 times but never Montana would never say they used to go to Montana all the time. They likely wouldn't even mention that they used to go to Idaho. They would just answer: "No, I've never been to Montana."
