Mcs

This is my first Semester with CSUCI. What is everyone’s experience with the middle class scholarship. Right now it’s estimated. How long after the semester starts do we actually get payment and is it usually close to the estimated amount or do they only refund whatever we paid directly to the school if lesser?

I called to ask about it. They said it’s estimated……I asked what that meant exactly. They said IF we get it depending on funding and each individual case the amount could be less and it’s disbursed at the end of the semester.
* this my first semester coming in as a junior.

i went to ci and received the MCS 3/4 years. i’d usually get an email once the semester ended saying that there was a change in my financial aid package, then i’d get the deposit which was for both the fall and spring semester. for the amount of the MCS, im not sure if it varies per person

I know I saw something on the Fresno State Financial Aid page that they usually dispurse it late into the semester. My friends at CI also say the same thing.

i went to ci for my last 2 years and in my experience, my refund amount for the MCS was the exact amount of what i was estimated to be given. the refund usually processes toward the end of the semester for both fall and spring and i received an email both times letting me know that there was a change in my financial aid package. for myself, i received fall’s in november around the second week and for spring, i received my refund in april during the second week as well!
