Quick question ☝️ 49B reliability?

Hi all, I'm about to move right off Western (across from Rosehill) and was basically wondering whether in your experience the 49B is pretty reliable? I've lived near Andersonville for the last few years and am well used to the 50 and the 22 (where NB 50 is usually fine, SB 50 typically runs late/ghosts, and the 22 in either direction simply won't come until you've made a blood sacrifice and/or promised your firstborn).

I don't think I realized just how far my new place is from foster or the square, and I'll be almost totally reliant on the 49b to connect to other buses or the brown line. Am I cooked?

The 49B is fine but it definitely bunches

How close are you to Peterson? Depending on your destination, you could ride the 84 to Peterson/Ridge Metra

I think I'm slightly closer to Peterson, so  the 84 should be an option! I mostly WFH but my office is in streeterville so the 84 to the 147 is probably my best bet.

It's just that most of my friends and activities  are still in Aville/Edgewater and I know I'll be relying on the 49B to get to Foster as my main east-west route. (I'd love to say that a 20-minute walk to foster is no problem, but due to health stuff I can't always count on being able to do that unfortunately)

I'm hoping based on these comments that it's mostly reliable :) ty for the suggestion!

49b should be running better now that the brown line is open as of this week

I live close to Warren park, and only take it in the evening if I’m not driving to work (I work in the near burbs). So far it’s been very reliable.
I grew up by Rosehill, and I took the 49B all the time and never had issues.
