Parking
Does the campus actually check if you are parked where you shouldn’t be, I guess they gotta check every single license plate to see if hey don’t hand out physical permits.

Everything is computer digitized with cameras based off your license plate. They just drive-through and it reads all of them. Every single plate gets examined.

What if you don’t have a front plate and back in

Not particularly excited to find out. My guess is that they pretend you don’t have a license plate at all or something similar.
The City of Boulder tho likes to get real pedantic about that crap, they’ll even fine you if you mount your front plate under the windshield

Do you know how often they check?

Often enough on most places. They're ruthless, ask me how I know.

Nah, $50 tickets tho. More if you dont pay fast.
If you rack up enough debt you get the boot

They did it to one of Deon’s sons. Booted his Rolls Royce over unpaid tickets.

Why tf is a college student driving a rolls royce? CU paid these people to come to our campus? Wtf

Like it or not the starting QB of a power 4 football program is not the same as a regular sophomore biology student, even less so when his dad was a megastar beforehand and then the coach.

Paid for an all day pass for the Folsom lot and got a ticket because I wasn't in the right spot, which are not clearly marked. Been doing it for years and suddenly one day they decided that was it. So yes: they check.

They are the actual worst department. So miserable to deal with.
I used to work for the university in facilities. One of our guys was running into a building to grab tools or something.. he parked out front not in a proper spot, the parking enforcement guy was right there and said don't worry about it. Well when he got back the guy still wrote him a ticket.
Legitimately, I always hated having to find parking even as an employee and was even more miffed at how much of a dick head the enforcement dudes were.

but think about it this way, if you only get caught once or twice a semester it's cheaper than a parking permit

Yeah but you don’t get caught once or twice a semester it’s more like six or seven they’re there all the time it’s like big brother. Only time they’re not there is after 5 I’m pretty sure

They are the most anal parking enforcement team I’ve ever encountered. If you park where you shouldn’t you WILL get ticketed. Friend got booted for 10 minutes in the wrong lot last year.

I once got a boot in the Basemar parking lot in 20 min flat for parking there and running an errand on campus, they hire security to watch the cams.
The 2 hour parking on the street on the north side of campus is great, but the parking maids drive by with plate cameras and it doesn't matter if you move your car, you'll still get a ticket over 2 hours. Boulder is serious about parking, they're itching to give tickets, no mercy for college folk.

They sure do. I got a ticket this week. You might be able to get away with a day or two like I did, but they check regularly.
