Shell is done for but yeah you can probably swap the back if the mobo isnt fucked

Internals could be saved, but you also couldve cracked the PCB which would mean the whole thing is basically for parts

Get a custom painted shell from etsy so you'll think twice about chucking it across the room in anger. Lol

Just get a new shell, if the controller works then its kinda a non-issue. You can maybe find a used not working gcc from like fb marketplace or smth and swap shells

Or you could somehow fill in those gaps (with resin or smth idk) and itll look like a kintsugi bowl lol

You can fix this with some type of plastic weld to fill in the gaps and smooth over, however I’d recommend replacing the back shell entirely. If the controller still works in this state then you can bet that the PCB is okay and just needs a swap.

This controller has good internals assuming they aren’t cracked as well. You have the model with the nicer stick boxes.

Does it still work?
If you can still plug it in and the buttons work then this is a simple shell swap. Consider getting opportunistic and getting a cool custom shell.

A therapist. It's a frigging game man, it wasn't the controller's fault, and even if it was, just get it fixed, don't spike it

First, one must fix the underlying issues. Besides, not worth the time "fixing" the back shell, you're better off replacing it... but I'd imagine if you're raging THAT hard, that board has to be cracked... in which case you would need a new motherboard and new backplate.
If the board isn't cracked, I'd be thoroughly shocked.

Smash player? Stop buying original controllers. You're not going pro and you're only ruining original controllers for people who actually play gamecube games.

Sounds like you’ve been told this one too many times lol. Extreme projection

I actually work in the domain, selling gamecube controllers to melee players never fails to make me roll my eyes. Ruin other controllers, the gamecube is already expansive enough as it is.
There's great 8bitdo alternatives with a lot less input lag and better feel. It doesnt help that they usually always want the cleanest ones with no snapback too, because of course they need the best one to then proceed to be absolutely dogshit with Fox and destroy the joystick with wavedashing.

Lol T3 stick boxes are like $10 a piece, sticks are 50 cents, 10 minutes to replace maybe? clearly you do not work in the domain.

Notice how I said "Original". As in, authentic. As in, original unchanged joystick. As in not repaired? If you want to change your joystick, go ahead, I invite you to do so, but most people will not go throught the trouble of changing it and will buy another one, which was my point.

It’s their controllers, who cares? there’s literally tens of millions of GameCube controllers out in the world. They’re not that scarce lmfao

If you worked in the domain, which you claim I don't, you'd know they are not as common as they used to be. And Melee is a big reason. There's a pretty big shortage of controllers, especially gen 6 consoles like the ps2 and gamecube. They die, they are old, they wither, they stop fonctionning. Many shops struggle to keep an inventory, sometimes even having more consoles than controllers to pair them with and having to pair them with shitty aftermarket like Cirka/hyperkin and such.
