Czech student visa 2026 timelines – Student Mode / non-EU applicants
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to collect some recent real-life timelines for Czech long-term student visa / residence applications, especially for students nominated through Student Mode (Režim Student).
I applied through a Czech embassy outside the EU in early August for a full-time bachelor’s programme. My application is still shown as “being processed” and I have not been asked for any additional documents or an interview so far.
I know the official study processing period can be up to 60 days, so I’m not asking anyone to predict my result. I’m mainly interested in understanding how the process has actually been working in 2025–2026.
If you have recently gone through it, could you share:
• Country / Czech embassy where you applied
• Student Mode: yes / no / not sure
• Long-term visa or long-term residence for study
• Approximate submission date
• Date the status changed to positive / date you were contacted
• Total number of days until the decision
• How many additional days it took to get the visa sticker/passport back
• Whether additional documents or an interview were requested
• Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD
I’m particularly interested in Azerbaijan/Baku, but cases from other embassies are also very useful for comparison.
Please don’t share application numbers, passport details, names or any other sensitive information. Approximate dates are completely fine.
Thanks. I think a collection of recent timelines could also help other students who are currently waiting.
