Created an account on a website to get a discount through my work.

They required an email and phone number "for verification purposes only, will not be used for marketing."

Ten promotional emails and texts from them within 48 hours. After the fifth "successfully unsubscribed" I just started blocking them as spam. Fuck newsletters or promotional emails or whatever the fuck they want to refer to their spam as.

Are you in UE? If so you can report them to your country GDPR compliance organ.

i even uncheck the box asking if i want promotional emails and still get sent those emails
