Career need career switch advice

hi there. i work as data engineer. previously worked as analytics engineer / analyst. i no longer enjoy spending whole day writing code and looking for a switch to a more client facing role where my technical knowledge will be beneficial. i’m not bad at communication. anyone been in similar position?

Can move into tech/data consultancy it's a mixture of hands on/client relationship. Be aware it's much less structured than typical tech roles.

Consultancy or pre-sales. Both roles will ask for direct DE experience and look for good communication. Consultancy can still be a lot of coding though.

I believe/hope you have a lot of good options for what you are looking for 🙂 Saying that as someone in consultancy who has been talking to former coworkers about what pre-sales looks like (“Solutions Engineer”)

If you have technical background and prefer a customer-facing role where you can talk to external / internal clients to articulate business problems & write implementation plans. I would suggest a technical business analyst (BA) and the beauty of this role is that you can also progress towards a product owner (PO).
