I was tracking two guys' movements and habits for a few days, till a good chance to strike came up!
Sorry about the audio quality, somehow gsync tend to screw it up in some of my recordings
Unfortunately, the freshie didn't survive. I tried to warn him about how evil and untrustworthy all of you are (😆), but he wasted too many seconds there, and as I sped away, I looked back and saw him get shot in the head while in the car... Oh well, his welcome to DayZ I guess!

So I've been playing for just over 1000 hours now and while I've had some kills it's certainly nothing crazy I have no issues with the survival mechanics or looting it's always the PvP 😂 I frequently end up in 2v1s or have people who just seem to know where I am even when I'm silent and haven't agro'd and Zs I play a fair bit of KK servers and just can't get a break recently.
As soon as I'm in a popular loot area chances are I'm getting domed and I get it it's all part of the game I'd just like to be doing abit more of the doming 😂 any other semi experienced players have this and anybody have any PvP tips for a long term noob ?
Edit : great responses from all much love to my fellow survivors I will say the thing I love about this game is with every death you realise what you should of done to prevent the death. So I guess more patience + more deaths = more dangerous survivors GG all and happy surviving ! I will be spending much more time flanking around loot spots from a distance before entering. 💥

I’m pretty new to dayz, but came over here after trying the reforgedz mod and I figured stand alone would be much better and it is!
So I could only ever get myself to NEAF and last time I was there a duo came up on me while I was in the building and I started spraying them with ammo. Once I had missed all my shots and emptied all my mags I said “friendly friendly friendly!” And one of them responded they were friendly and somehow we started running together. They had actually planned to kill me but one was having mic problems and they only had chamber loaded weapons. So I joined their discord and went with them to NWAF. First time at NWAF but we did ok until we ran across the runway and one of our guys got killed and we killed the solo that killed him. Got some sodas and hit the tree line. Our buddy respawned in berezino so his friend decided to go find him and I logged off.
It was pretty epic so I was satisfied and didn’t have the itch for a few days and I log back in to a different server and wind up in Balato or whatever on the coast SW. I shoot a zombie and these two European girls run up to me and tell me they have a garden. They took me to the “garden,” and it was like 2 plots of tomato’s. I gave them some guns and other goodies and they gave me produce. I did some looting and brought them stuff back and logged off. Few hours later I check in on them and they gave a whole farm going around the well. So many plants it was crazy I did some more looting and brought them a few more things and logged off. I came back to check on then today and the entire farm was wiped out! Not a single plant growing in the plots. Ladies, if you see this I hope you are doing well.

I have about 60 hours in this game but never did i ever ragequit so hard. So i was lowkey kind of a fresh spawn who travelled from solnechny to gorka. I only got a pioneer at the gorka pd with 4 rounds in it. When i got to the roof of the pd i saw some dead zeds being around the well which i didn't kill. So i did assume theres a player nearby, checked every house near the well so i could i fill my bottle but guess what, just as i filled my bottle halfway i got shot from behind and it was a one shot too. I had a stab vest so he prob hit my head with smth mid- high caliber. Now i get it its a survival game and all that but cmon thats just being a cornball camping a well thats not even that inland. Straight up IDF strategies man, i dont mind getting sniped by someone in the tree lines but this guy was most probably hiding in some house way farther from the well with a cheeky angle. Hope he enjoys my pioneer and my fishing rod man. I guess im not allowed to drink from wells now which is btw the only clean water unless u find cl tabs.

(Chernarus) Followed the river north from Zvir and happened upon Krona Castle. This game never fails to leave me in awe of its beauty 🥲 What are the spots that feel the most special to you? (In any map)

I’ve now got over 20 hours in DayZ, here’s a montage showing my PvP progress.
I’ve figured out the PvP meta pretty quickly. The coast is easily the best place to farm kills since that’s where everyone is.
I hope you enjoy !! 🪖

Hey all,
I’ve noticed that the 3rd person official servers tend to always have 20 or more players online. Compared to first person, which in my experience is usually 5-15 players.
This is on Switch 2. I’m just curious if this is true on the other platforms? And is there a reason?
I personally prefer 1st but after jumping on the 3rd person view one I was surprised to see people much more often which is fun but not as immersive.

Any recommendations? Might pick the game up on the Steam sale and need a good home.
Moments before those screenshots were taken, I was sniped and killed at the military base in Zeleno fully geared for mid-level. My buddy escaped. I was pissed. Respawned 15 times in the east until I finally spawned outside of a city in the south. I got some clothes and food immediately as luck would have it and started down the open road when I ran across a wrecked (but still working) car on the side of the road.
As I inspected the car, I heard flies, but I didn't see a body, which may have been under the car? I noticed in the Vicinity panel that I could scroll down more than usual. There was an SCR-17 and VS-89, and a few other items, no other substantial gear tho. I looted the weapons and ran. A few minutes later I heard a car flying down the road, assuming whoever died called their buddies to come get the gear.
So what happened here? Was the driver sniped, car wrecked from a glitch, something else? Seems like I was in the right place at the right time with a very limited window of opportunity.

Like i understand they are trying to provide players with a cheat free experience that the developers can’t seem to produce and the custom poi’s is nice but….
Its just an absolute sweat fest that does not feel anything like vanilla DayZ:
105pop chenarus is just crazy, even with the boosted loot every building is just empty and there are way too many bases that the average player can do nothing about as there’s no loot to raid. Should be like 60 players max. Also you get in pvp fights constantly and it takes way too long to gear back up again due to the lack of loot.
6 week wipes is so demoralising, what’s the point of wasting your only free time making progress just for it to be wiped every 6 weeks? Yes the sweats get bored but that’s their own fault for not having a life.
There’s only 1 chenarus server on xbox which means you’re basically forced to buy priority if you want to play as the ques are constantly over 20 people at peak times.
Admins are allowed to play in the server with non-admin players and team up with them. That just seems completely wrong due to the tools they have available to them.
Discord is toxic and admins just shut down everyone’s feedback
Just feel like there are way better servers that don’t get the attention they deserve. When you hear a gun shot it should get your heart racing but on karmakrew there are players within about 500m from you everywhere so you lose the sense of survival and it just turns into a pvp deathmatch server. If i wanted that i would just play conquest….

So my current set up is a SCR-17 Ive got both ATOG scopes for it, and a DMR with a marksman scope on it. I also have a VS-89 with no scope on it. I've got plenty of .308 and 7.62x54..what are y'all's opinions? Keep the DMR SCR-17 combo or swap the DMR and put the marksman scope on to the VS-89? Also where are some good sniping spots so I can get my 300m kill achievement? I'm located in the general Ratnoye area

Does anyone else come across other peoples stashes and try to trade? I know I may get some hate for it but I don't like just taking people's stuff.
For example, I found a guys tent and he wasn't in it so I looked at what he had. I took only half of the Tetra (had twelve I took six) and a sharpening stone (he had two) and mine was about half way gone so I left that with him as well.
I left: a soda, some canned tuna and a lighter.
He had a good amount of stuff and I could have wiped him out but I don't like that style of gameplay. I've only been playing for a few days and wonder if it's just because I'm new? (Not new to survival games though)
I also found a house that the doors were locked and I broke in, after realizing someone locked the doors for a reason I left them a pink teddy bear in front of the door (inside) I doubt they'll ever see this post but I hope it have that person a chuckle 🤭 I didn't look around in the house as I got scared and left
Приветствую, я хочу добавить на свой сервер ботов, чтобы были патрули агрессивные к игроку, чтобы на игрока в зависимости от тира локации спаанилосл по три бота, подскажите как это реализовать?

Just started playing, about 40 hours in. Doing well with a character, 30km traveled, low tier gear but working on better. Jumped servers to keep what I had but hit locations again for better. Searching the MB Kamensk as I did prior. Looked in a room and pop pop pop I'm dead. Lol

Anyone have issues with the vanilla launcher loading you into servers you don't select? I'll select a random server, install relevant mods and it will put me into a server from my favourites list? I may have to switch back to DZSA!

Does anyone else dream about dayz I had a horrible nightmare of getting beat up and when I woke up I almost asked my gf what town are we in 😭
I’ll go first. For starters I’m still pretty new to DayZ. My favorite spot to farm loot is around Nidek, lots of helicopter crashes, and a bit of wildlife to hunt. I’ve been playing on a low player server initially just to learn the ropes but now been hunting to get a hold of the new Scar so searching helicopter crashes and checking convoys have become pretty routine. I used to feel so paranoid when checking each crash that another player would spot me but being on a low player server I searched so many crashes with no intervention and it made me feel too comfortable. On another routine check on a heli crash looking for that scar finally I bumped into someone he had actually beaten me to the crash and was searching it already I spotted him sneaking around because he had a bright blue hiking bag. My heart dropped because I wasn’t expecting to see anyone. I had so much loot on me and finally got a hold of some NVGs from the crash I searched right before this one. I was scared to lose all my loot because I had so much to lose and being a new player it’s a safe assumption everyone has way more experience than me. Anyways I wanted that crash to myself thinking this could finally be that Scar I’m looking for so I took out my SVD and attempted to line up a shot to now avail he would not sit still, so I pulled out my M16 and just started spraying at his direction and he took off running using the Heli as cover I was honestly panicking and probably missed a whole 20 round magazine except for maybe 1 or 2 shots. I gave chase expecting a full on fire fight and missing all those shots I did not feel confident AT ALL but I had to finish what I started. Chasing him I was fully expecting for him to retaliate and send shots back in my direction, because of all the noise I made all the zombies at the crash site were now chasing me too I was getting hit by them so I knew it was only a matter of time before they knock me out but I had to put him down fast. I saw him run into some bushes and spotted that bright blue bag and pulled out my SVD and dumped all 10 rounds in the magazine into him. Once it was all said in done it dawned on me, he was probably even more new than me, any experienced player would of returned fire quickly and it reminded me how in the very beginning of me starting to learn DayZ I got caught in a unexpected gun fight and I pleaded for him not to kill me as I was new and never made it as far as I was at the time. He showed me mercy and took me under his wing and taught me so much. It’s the fact I couldn’t do the same for someone else makes me feel so bad sometimes when I remember it. To make matters worse the loot he had wasn’t even worth still no scar but funny enough he had a magazine for it.

I kind of wonder how much time I and how much time you may spend on the run scavenging town to town in order to live compared to settling down in a base and chilling inside, as for me im 80+hrs in and still have never built a shelter yet lmao
