I just rewatched the miniseries The Hatfield’s and McCoys. It stars Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton but our man Powers Boothe plays Judge Wall Hatfield. A pretty good watch gritty and violent. Ole Devil Anse might give Al a good run for his money.

Little detail I noticed, once the reverend began ranting. The doc watches him closely, examining so as to confirm an oncoming seizure. Confirmed later in the scene as the doc utters his speculations. Excellent writing and acting as always. What a great fucking show.

Those Pinkerton cocksuckers were all over Deadwood and now they just showed up in Boardwalk Empire. Can’t get away from these guys.

Reading the brilliant "Munichs" by David Peace, author of "The Damned United". This is a fictionalised account of the Munich Air disaster of 1958 in which 8 Manchester United players died. In this passage, Neil, the young son of Johnny Berry (who is critically injured and in hospital) is looked after by family friends.

I have no idea what # rewatch im on, but it would definitely be considered unhealthy. Anyway, during this rewatch I noticed (for the first time) that Bullock watches Tom's Big Ride standing next to the Soap (With A Prize Inside) Guy, and even seems to smile at him after Tom succeeds. Has to be the only time Bullock is nice or civil to that guy, right?
