Short report from Oslo, Norway. First time seeing the boys yesterday. It was awesome! Didn't want the show to come to an end. We also got the promise that they will be back with new music. Can't wait! Hopefully they will play near me next time but if not I'll just travel again.

He's filling in for Shiv for European tours, since the later is busy with two kids (but still takes part to US and AUS/NZ tours). He has great stage presence and incredible energy and it's cool to see that the band leaves him total freedom on stage. But does anyone know where he's from? His name? Does he have a band? [Sorry for the low quality pic taken with my phone at Motocultor fest]

I'll go first, with MØL - Dreamcrush (a step below their previous two albums, but still excellent) and Together To The Stars - Iridescence (they take a bit more from the Harakiri For The Sky playbook, yet their melodies are excellent)

Any kind soul can tell me the timeline? I want to know when Deafheaven starts playing. I’m not from Denmark, so idk where to look for info. I can only see “music starts at 20:00.”

For the people who has been at one of the EU concerts. What merch did they bring? Any chance they have the logo cap?

Anyone else noticed that Deafheaven setlists on Setlist.fm seem wrong/repeated?

I was at their Pukkelpop set this weekend, and the setlist currently on Setlist.fm is definitely wrong. They did not end with Winona, and I'm not sure but I think they played honeycomb and maybe even a new / unreleased song? Or at least one I didn't recognize and that is definitely not on that setlist fm setlist.

Also, for more than a year now, a lot of the setlists seem almost identical, which already made me wonder whether people were just copying previous setlists or whether something was being automatically filled in.

Has anyone else who saw them recently noticed incorrect songs or running orders on Setlist.fm?

On August 20th, I saw Deafheaven live for the first time in Münster, German

I’m 38 years old and have been to countless concerts in my life, but seeing George and the band live was simply one of the most intense and emotional concert experiences I’ve ever had. What struck me most and what I kept thinking about during the show, was the fact that, despite being on tour and playing night after night, they still deliver a performance and unleash an energy as if it were the very first date of the tour. What they convey, especially George, with that intensity and energy, really moved me. Flawless vocals; McCoy playing calmly, serenely, and confidently without a single slip-up; and drums packed with blast beats, show after show. When you stop to think about it, it’s fascinating.

I make no secret of it, nor am I ashamed to admit, that I was overcome with emotion and in tears as I shouted the final lines of Dream House: "I want to dream, I want to dream."

Btw, escuché una pareja de españoles hablando pero no los pude ver, yo también soy español y también fui con mi pareja, me sorprendió, que todos estuviéramos tan lejos de casa pero compartiendo un excelente gusto en común. Si estáis por aquí, podemos compartir experiencias post concierto!
