Other DEATH NOTE COLLECTION FOR SALE!!
DISCLAIMER: I’ve been given permission by the moderation team to post the following contents, as it may benefit lots of users. I would like to thank the moderation team, and in particular Ninth-1, for this exception!
Without going into many details, I’m selling my extensive Death Note collection. Figures are limited, and so are items that were released within the last 4-5 months- But the collection is filled with items that any serious collector would want amongst their items, that much is guaranteed. The collection is filled with various items that are rare as they are beautiful to look at, so while they’re still available, why not grab this chance?
To see the collection, I invite anyone interested to visit my Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/deathnote_memorabilia?igsh=eHh3NTlrZ3NyNWs3&utm_source=qr and to let me know which item / s piqued your interest!
Please contact me only on Instagram, by sending me the post with the item / s of interest, and specifying which item / s and the number of items, given that there are multiple in stock available for various.
If you can’t reach me directly on Instagram, I can make an exception here on Reddit, but my main area of communication is on Instagram.
Additionally, and this is very important: I won’t price the items as a standard. For each item you’re interested in, provide me with the maximum budget you can offer, and I’ll compare it to how much I bought the item originally, subsequently comparing it to the current market value and rarity. This saves us both time, and negotiations can become smoother. I would like to work together with anyone interested to find prices that accommodate both sides so that every purchase can go by without a problem!
I will be gradually posting the entirety of the collection, so please look forward to daily new posts! Should something arise, I will specify it in my Stories.
Thank you for your attention, I hope many people can get many items they’ve always wanted!

Discussion Many Death Note Characters Are Overlooked
I found myself really enjoying Mogi’s time on screen and his relationship with Misa was very cute, but apparently nobody cares about him💔
Aizawa too, he was really smart to mark the papers that one time and he had a lot of cool moments and he’s always so overlooked🥲
Overall many of the Death Note characters are treated as if they don’t exist, I’ve seen people question who Kiyomi or Sayu are which baffles me, Aiber and Wedy were so awesome in the little screentime they had but nobody knows them?! I find this very strange given that most of these characters aren’t even “niche,” maybe they’re just boring?
right now the only characters people care about are L, Light, Misa, Naomi, Ryuk, and Rem, Matsuda, Mello, and Near if you’re pushing it.

Discussion How did Mello manage on his own after leaving Wammy’s?
When Mello ran away from Wammy’s House, he was almost fifteen. From a practical standpoint, how did he manage to make a living, find somewhere to stay, and actually get involved in the criminal underworld? I know he’s a genius, but he’s also a kid. And didn’t Wammy’s House try to find him? How do you think he managed to pull all of this off in practice?

Fan Art I made a little Light!
He’s made entirely out of felt. He’s pretty small so it was hard to get the death note to even look like it had words on it… 😅
Anyways I hope you guys like it! I might make more at some point so tell me which characters you’d like to see next :)

Question Who is the most psychologically tragic character and is their tragedy caused more by their personality or their circumstances?

Discussion Does the Death Note story explore the concepts of luck and coincidence?
When I stumbled across the Death Note story some 17 years ago or so, I remember enjoying the fact that all major characters are using their intelligence in order to reach the outcome they want.
Nowadays, however, I don't think that Death Note is a story about people that can achieve great things (whether bad or good) thanks to their intelligence and other skills alone.
There are quite some plot points in the story that are either A) poor writing just to make us, readers/watchers, more excited, or B) to showcase the element of luck (or lack of it) within the battles of wits that are happening in the story. One example is Light accidentally meeting Naomi at the right time. Another one is Light ending up being the one who found a notebook (even Ryuk tells him that it's a pure coincidence/luck and has nothing to do with Light personally).
To sum it up: I used to see Death Note story as a representation of what can be achieved when intelligent and hard working people use their head while chasing their goals. Now I see it as a story about how random events and luck can affect peoples' lives (whether positively or negatively) and that some results will be reached thanks to the sheer coincidence - not ones all-time perfect ability to plan and predict.
Does anyone see it in a similar light (no pun intended)? Do you think the author intended to include the element of luck into the battle of wits, or do you treat it more like a plot hole?

Question Is Mello’s impulsiveness a weakness, or is it precisely what makes him capable of doing things Near wouldn’t?

Game Death Note Killer Within
Hello as the title states this is about the game Death Note Killer Within. I'm trying to see if anyone is still interested in playing this game. My friends and I have started it recently but I don't have enough people to keep playing and would really love to have more people play.

Other Symphony of Destruction could lowkey be about Death Note Spoiler
Everytime I listen to this song I can’t help but think of Death Note, the lyrics to me sounding like:
The first verse I see as ryuks perspective on light:
You take a mortal man
And put him in control
Ryuk ‘giving’ light yagami the Death Note.
Watch him become a God
Watch people's heads a-roll
Ryuk seeing light killing people with the note and becoming Kira (a God, essentially)
A-roll
A-roll
The chorus kind of changes perspective in my head at least, as it can be read from the perspective of Light, or Near or even L.
Just like the Pied Piper
Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes
Swaying to the symphony of destruction
For light it sounds like hes stringing everyone along and kind of manipulating them like puppets, they dance to his music. Ofcourse his entire killing spree can be beautifully worded as a ‘symphony of destruction’.
The next verse sounds a lot like light losing himself to the idea of being Kira and going crazy, as he does in the anime too:
Acting like a robot
Its metal brain corrodes
You try to take its pulse
Before the head explodes
As I stated, light acting like a robot can be seen in the way he religiously writes names. The act of killing people making him go crazy and ‘corroding’ his Brain. I dont really have an analogy for the other lines.
Explodes
Explodes
Oh, God
This chorus is still about light in my head.
Just like the Pied Piper
Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes
Swaying to the symphony
Just like the Pied Piper
Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes
Swaying to the symphony
Swaying to the symphony of destruction
The last verse is about Near VS Light.
The Earth starts to rumble
World powers fall
A warring for the heavens
A peaceful man stands tall
Ofcourse Near is getting close to catching light and after the final stand (war) he wins. Near is ‘good’, so a peaceful man stands tall (wins).
A-tall
A-tall
The last chorus sounds like Nears planning and victory, the way he strings light along and destroying light in nears own symphony of destruction. I couldnt fit it in the post sadly. Its the same though as its a chorus obviously :)
This might not be a very interesting post but I Felt I had to share it somewhere, what better place than this sub?

Discussion Which Food do you Crave Most when Watching Death Note?
Between the three, ngl, eating desserts while watching L is a vibe for me. The best part is that I am using my brain so I don’t gain any calories!

Discussion Would you rather read manga or watch the anime?
Which one do you prefer for death note? I have watched the anime and really enjoyed it. Tbh anime has nice music and visuals which made me glued to this anime. Would you rather read the manga or watch the anime? How long would it take to finish the manga?

Question Did Light become evil because of the Death Note, or did the Death Note simply reveal who he already was?
(more questions tommorow)

Question How did Misa forget Ls name, its literally L Lawliet. Spoiler
She literally saw a guy named L. Lawliet, who just lied about his name. How did she not figure out that he is L? Shes not actually as dumb as light makes it seem but man this is not at all disproving that.

Question Why do L and Near look so alike? Spoiler
galleryAnd I know that they're not related, but they look so alike. Theres also the fact that they both obsess over things, L obsesses over sweets while Near obsesses over children's toys. I just think that they look so familiar, along with how they act.

Discussion Guys what would you do if you could be one of the characters from death note ? (spoilers) Spoiler
I would be Teru Mikami , but I wouldn't be as blindfolded like him in the series . I would follow Lights orders till the last episode specifically but I would always keep few torn pages hidden with me all the time and make sure to not let it be looked like I tampered with the death note .
At the end I would write all their names on the warehouse in those torn pages except the twist is I will write Lights name too ( now this is just plan A , plan B is to just blow up the place with strong explosives , if Near has somehow tampered with my hidden pages ) The moment Light says " well Near it looks like I win " , they would start killing themselves ( I would write their death by suicide ) and while watching them die , I would tell Light that I would take on the responsibility of making the new world .
I would use the death note to eliminate corrupted higher ups rather than killing niche criminals , may be I would have to face off more detectives around the world in death note season 2 🌝🌝 Also my actions will be different than Light as I don't want the world to worship kira and I don't want to be any God rather want to cleanse the world of its unwanted garbage .

Discussion New to the anime
So I’ve been binge watching the anime (on episode 29 now) and I now understand why people hated the 2017 Netflix movie if you saw the anime before but to me that movie was really good and a great introduction to the world of death note

Question Death Note supplementary content by Tsugumi Ohba
I'm trying to figure out just how much extra Death Note content was written by Tsugumi Ohba after the manga ended. I know about the A-Kira and C-Kira stories... Is that everything?
