Pgp key?????? Clueless
So I’m on a certain dark market and trying to send crypto sent back to me. They are asking for a pgp encryption key.
Why????
What’s it do????
How to do it????

I’d highly recommend you read the DNM Bible. It goes through pretty well how to send and receive PGP messages. Without a guide it is daunting

This, at least. If you are sending crypto without you at least read DNM Bible, you are asking to be scammed and someone will be relieving you of your money very soon.

Learning the very basics before making orders is generally a good idea....

I’ve made plenty of orders. All worked out perfectly.
I’ve never used a market that lets you withdraw your crypto before and wants a pgp to do so.
But did your condescending reply make you feel good about yourself?

Dude, you need to slow down and do some research before you get taken, if you haven’t already. I’m not saying that to be a prick, im just trying to prevent you from making the same mistakes I did. DNM Bible, dread are some tools to many that are useful for these things

Dread is a major darknet discussion forum currently located at http://dreadytofatroptsdj6io7l3xptbet6onoyno2yv7jicoxknyazubrad.onion/ It is one of the few sites considered a reliable darknet resource in this subreddit.

Brother, if your illiteracy is this severe you NEED to step back before you land yourself in trouble. Your naivety is putting you, your vendors, and even potentially your DNM at risk.

I really really would recommend clicking on the subreddit you just posted on and viewing the wiki attached. It goes over all of this. After that if you have questions come back to reddit to ask…
Not to be a dick but your reply asking “Can coinbase do this” tells us that you have done no actual research and will A.) get scammed, or B.) get in trouble… Coinbase also doesn’t allow XMR which you’ll need for obvious reasons…

Well you can do it thru proton… which has a wallet based encryption. Many crypto wallets are anonymous. I don’t have dumbass Coinbase so I don’t know shit about it. But then again this is my first time using a market that has the option to withdraw crypto. So it’s a first time for everything right?

Long story short, send them your public key. Never share your private key with anyone by any reason.

How does this constitute illiteracy? Never needed to use this before. Had no reason to.

u/Cautious_Chicken8882 4d ago
Yes, you have had every reason to and the fact that you dont know that is a huge issue.

You must feel really good about yourself being a dark web expert. I’m sure you probably know all the ins and outs on obtaining your child porn as safe as possible.
But when you place an order on a market without messaging your vendor, what do you specifically use pgp key for. Since you have all the answers lmk.

u/Cautious_Chicken8882 1d ago
Knowing the very basic of basics doesnt make someone an expert you stupid dopey fuck.
You dont place an order on a market without messaging the vendor.... how else would they have an addresss.
Seems im not the one tryna buy kiddke porn ya retarded fuckwit

It’s all about safety, not just yours. They’re just trying to keep you from getting scammed or worse.

u/Objective_Cod6785 1d ago
And I appreciate that very much. However there’s ways to say things and ways not to.
I understand what a pgp key is in general.
Literally every market has one. My question is how does it pertain to withdrawing crypto? And how I go about doing so.Is this not what this subreddit is for?

u/SnooFoxes7554 1d ago
Yea I get it, but idk? I haven’t been on here long enough to know all the unspoken rules.
PGP isn’t actually what withdraws the crypto. It’s mainly used to encrypt/verify messages. If the market is asking you for a PGP key as part of the withdrawal process, it’s most likely an automated security/verification step. Just make sure they’re asking for your public PGP key…NOTyour private key or passphrase.

Holy shit I know PvP doesn’t withdraw the crypto…..,I’m just asking for a run down of everything that needs to be done correctly in order to accomplish this. That I didn’t know
Everyone on this thread acting all high and mighty like they are dark market gurus were noobs at one point or another.

What it is: PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) uses keypairs to encrypt and decrypt sensitive information so only you can read messages or account recovery details intended for you. Why they ask: It prevents account takeover and ensures sensitive info (like withdrawal codes or addresses) isn't stolen in plain text if the site or database gets intercepted.
How to get one: Download a PGP tool (like Kleopatra for Windows/Linux or GPG Suite for Mac). Generate a new keypair (keep your private key and passphrase secret!). Copy your public key text block and paste it into the market profile field.
