I went outside a while ago and the skinny deer came back. None of the neighborhood deer are very scared of me or my dog. However this one came right up to me when I went to grab the bowl I keep water in out there.

I put water in the bowl and it started drinking right away. I also went through my vet, and she suggested protein pellets. Which I bought yesterday. It wasted no time

I have named her Derpy. She has been coming around for a few years now. Her tongue always sticks out for some reason and she drools a lot. She kind of just chills, drools, and eats plants. I love her a lot though and I’m glad to see her and know she’s okay 😊

Well my buddy with his mouth open as usual lol Gosh he's a good looking deer and he knows it. hahaha antlers 1 tree 0 I wish I taken a Picture of the tree he used because its definitely been used before by him i noticed it has scrapes but he sure did go for it this time .I sure love learning from these awesome creatures.

He’s been coming around for 4 years since he was a little fawn. Looking all grown up and a nice rack.

It’s just been lying on the side of my house for a few hours. Maybe because it’s cooler there.

Just seems severely underweight and lethargic.

Also, before people comment on CWD, it’s VERY rare here in central Texas. I ran it by the wildlife people here who said they’ve had zero cases in the area…. Obviously I’m just going to let it be, but I feel bad for it.

I posted her earlier, calling her a mom, but it was pointed out to me that she isn’t showing a swollen bag or teats. Oops.

we never have any issues with the older and wiser bucks. It’s always the young ones having to prove themselves
