I’m from the east Stroudsburg area and there’s RARELY any orders to do that’s nearby. I usually have to travel north to Milford or south towards Easton/Allentown for any orders. The most frustrating part is I still can’t get into the rhythm of doing orders because they all get taken before I get to even see the offer. And it’s not like I’m being selective with what I choose to do because when I tell you no orders come through I mean NONE. I could sit in the parking lot for 2 hours and nothing. Any advice on where to go for orders? What stores? Time of the day? Anything helps…. Hopefully people see this post because in my history of posting on Reddit more than I’d like to admit I’m basically talking to myself… so if there’s anyone out there please help… also what communities to join that deals with my concerns? Wanted to share a lane that's working. Independent pharmacies (around 20,000 in the US) are getting squeezed by chains and Amazon, and delivery is one of the few ways they keep patients. Most can't run their own delivery, so they'll contract an independent driver.

Startup cost was basically nothing, I already had the car. The pitch that worked wasn't "hire me to drive." It was "I'll get your patients their meds on time, with proof of every delivery, so you never lose a patient or eat a dispute." Solving their fear, not asking for a favor. Landed a couple of pharmacies that way.

Happy to answer questions if anyone's trying to break into local delivery contracts. What's the hardest part you're hitting?

So today I was doing a delivery to a place called office works and to get into the loading dock/bay it’s one way in and you gotta go out the same way you come in

There are 3 businesses that use the same backlot as loading docks and for some reason one of these thought they could practically block off the loading dock for office works so I walked up and decided I could still get around the vehicles (there were some tradie Utes and a delivery van) that were in the way so I started backing in and manoeuvring around said vehicles so I could do my delivery when one of the employees from the business that was blocking the loading area started yelling at me saying that I need to be patient and that they will have the vehicles moved

And when I told him that I could get around fine but next time I would report his company for blocking another loading dock he got the shits and started yelling at me again and threatening to make a complaint

All they had to do was just not block the loading dock or tell the tradies to learn how to park properly because I don’t got time to be waiting I’ve got customers that I have to be at by certain times

And when I got back to my warehouse I did apologise to the girls in the office just incase the guy actually did call up

But apparently I’m not the only driver that has had an issue with those guys apparently other drivers from other companies have also had issues with them

I just have to get this out there because I've had very many situations where I've been screwed over badly, and this could probably go for just about any job.

Always, always, always, always, document everything that ever happens to you, you notice something different or wrong? Take a picture, write a note and date it, this will save you in ANY situation.

I cannot express to you how many times this has saved my ass, nobody our here will have your back, not HR, not your co-workers, it's also a good idea to keep notes on things you notice that aren't good in your job, don't show anyone, just keep them and be ready for any bs your job tries to throw at you.

Okay I'm looking for some advice here. I'm currently a delivery driver for Uber Eats and right now it really sucks in my part of the Bay Area part of California (it's almost like they're slowly making you an employee versus an independent contractor because a lot of us have to try and schedule hours for the week in order to be allowed to work)...

I'm also on a waitlist for DoorDash, GrubHub, Spark, Instacart and Amazon Flex.. I've been on a waitlist for all those for as long as I've been doing UE and that is since May 2025. I'm looking for recommendations for other delivery driver services in the Bay Area. Preferably like the South Bay where you can make your own hours and it would be nice to not be on a waitlist. The only one I know about is something called Forkable... Thoughts?? ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?? I can only work part time and I like being able to pick when I can work...

So I just gotta second job at Dominos delivery pizza in the graveyards shift from 8p-3a and I was wondering
1. Is delivering pizza even worth the wear and tear it puts on your vehicle?
2. Do people who order normally tip their driver between these specific hours?

Been driving rideshare a while and got tired of the fees eating half my fares. Started looking for something where I could work directly with a business instead of an app taking a cut of everything. Landed on pharmacy delivery.

Local independent pharmacies need reliable drivers, and a lot of them can't find one. I charge per delivery plus mileage, deal with the pharmacy directly, and there's no middleman skimming 30 to 50% off the top. The one thing they always want is proof every prescription actually got to the right person, signature, photo, the works, so I use an app for that.

Not going to shill it here, but the point is there are lanes off the platform treadmill if you go looking. Anyone else doing direct delivery contracts (pharmacy, florist, auto parts) instead of just apps? How'd you land the first one?

How often does anyone hit $2000 a week? Please say what state you’re in and what apps you are using.

Me and my friends always talk about that as a theoretical goal, but I finally hit it last week. But I’m in California so 650th that was adjustment. Instacart adjustment was 250 which is weekly and Spark adjustment was 400 which is biweekly so theoretically I can hit that every other week, and on the weeks with no spark adjustment somewhere around15-1600.

Anyone else hustling like this and what apps?

Will a VPN screw up gps and mileage trackers?

I'm getting odd intermittent results such as:

- my current or home location showing up as several miles away from current or actual location

- morning commute to work occasionally going straight through the woods

-making multiple midnight drives to visit neighbors I don't know, again within a several mile radius, lol

however, general navigation seems to be fine (other than normal situations like being in a very rural area).

I've seen this on my Google map timeline that I use for time stamping jobs, locations, etc.and now with a new mileage tracker, seeing it immediately and with greater and more odd inaccuracies.

Or might there be other technical issues going on? My phone is old, slow, and glitchy 🤔🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

• Here is what happened:

Unauthorized Cancellation: I ordered 3 items from Meesho. 1 item was cancelled and returned automatically without asking me or giving any reason.

• Verbal Abuse & Threats: The delivery agent spoke to me in an extremely rude, aggressive, and raised voice, and even explicitly threatened me over the phone.

• Fake Delivery Attempt: The remaining 2 items were marked as "Out for Delivery". Despite me being at home, no proper delivery attempt was made, and the status was suddenly changed to "Delivery Failed".

• Blocked by Delivery Staff & Hub: When I tried calling the delivery agent back, he blocked my phone number. I then tried reaching out to the local courier hub staff to complain, and they blocked my number as well!

This is not just unprofessional behavior and a fake delivery attempt—it is direct harassment and a threat by the delivery staff.

Has anyone faced something like this before? What is the fastest way to escalate this legally or through consumer protection?

My order is stuck in first mile only. First they picked up order after 3 days and post that product is kept lying in their warehouse for more than 2 days. Can anyone suggest if this is common issue? Im using delhivery one.

We all know how much time quick delivery apps save us. I also understand that we should support offline stores and that we’ve become way too dependent on these apps.
But sometimes, they genuinely save the day, especially when you’re making last-minute plans.
I was actually skeptical about tying rakhi for my cousins because they weren’t sure if they’d be in town today. They confirmed only this morning, so I immediately opened Myntra to order rakhis.
After doomscrolling for 45 minutes 😂, I finally found one and placed the order. The app said 90 minutes, but it was delivered in just 60!
The interesting part was when I was looking for sweets on Dadu’s website. It was showing 60 minutes for delivery, even though the store is literally a 5-minute walk from my place.
I knew I could just walk there and buy them, but I was short on time. So I decided to go myself.
And the moment I reached the store, I saw **40+ delivery partners waiting for their orders.**
FYI, the store opens at 8 AM, and I was there at 8:05 AM.
On my way to my cousins’ place, I kept seeing delivery partners everywhere, and honestly, I felt really grateful for them.
We can debate whether we’re too dependent on quick-commerce apps, but on days like this, you really realise how much these people and these services help us. ❤️
