Hello, Many Deslop requests have been removed from the sub for failing to properly follow the rules of the sub. So, I thought it'd be a good idea to make a quick guide for making a deslop request.
Firstly, here are the important rules to know before making a Deslop Request:
Rule 2: This is Art Only - If your deslop is just about trying to stir controversy and encourage argument between AI-worshipers and artists, it may end up removed.
Rule 4: No NSFW - We do not support NSFW content, which is art made for a primarily sexual purpose. This can include sexualized depictions of nudity, fetish content, and other such unpleasantries. However, we do permit artistic nudity; which is generally content made to represent the human form in a non-sexual manner (Though you may have to provide an explanation to us to ensure your content is correctly categorized)
Rule 10: Do not Generate Slop - Desloppification serves primarily to prove that the inherent soul placed into any art created by a human, is far superior to any "art" generated by a soulless machine. However the purpose of this sub is NOT to create art to completely create that which was generated by a machine. If you need to get art made, either get a paid commission or put a request in a proper art sub. (requesting your own slop to be deslopped is a ban-able offense, I ban for a year at most; but the other mods tend to ban for life; so maybe don't try that.)
Rule 12: No "Breaking the Pencil" or brainrot deslop. - This is not a meme sub, our mission isn't a joke. If our sub ends up filled with a bunch of brainrot memes, then our sub ends up as a laughing stock and our mission is invalidated. Additionally, many of the brainrot and breaking the pencil things are quite political and divisive. We don't want this sub to become another battleground for the online flame wars between nations and ideologies.
Rule 13: Must include Source - You have to include where you found the slop on deslops; it just helps us with our moderation of those in violation of rule 10.
Now, with the rules out of the way, here's the quick guide.
Step 1 - Find your slop. Find the slop you want deslopped. If it's online, either get a screenshot or link of the slop in the place you found it (like a subreddit, a Pinterest board, a forum page, etc...). If it's some printed slop in the real world, then just take a photo of it where you find it.
Step 2 - Upload your image. Start creating your post, upload the image/s you got of your slop, and add the Deslop request flair.
Step 3 (optional) - describe your request. In the description of your post, put some info on where you found the slop, maybe how it makes you feel; and how you want the image deslopped.
Step 4 - Be Supportive. Once people have deslopped your image, be supportive. Find parts of the man-made image that you like and compliment them on it. Maybe you don't actually like it, but it's good to be nice, our community gets stronger when we all strive together.
