I was hired when there was sick time and vacation time. The company switched to PTO, but only for new hires. It was uncomfortable when a sick/vac was reporting to a PTO.

2 u/genxer 4d ago My job hasnt combined "Vacation" and "Sick" into PTO yet. So yeah, it was common to have separate buckets.
