Bike Showcase Finally finished (almost).

Post image

Finished, with the exception of bar ends, I need bar ends. This is a weird build - half the parts were brand new, and the other half were cheap from FB marketplace or from the parts bins in my basement. The rigid fork is on the bike, for now. I have a Rock Shox Pike 426 that I want to rebuild and toy around with it on the bike. Regardless, I can't wait to get out and ride it. This thing is a street machine πŸ˜„πŸ”₯🚲

have you tried the hookworm tyres on dirt yet bc i’m curious how they do? i’ll be mostly riding paved with a little dirt so i’m torn between getting two dth or a dth + hookworm combo

hookworm is a heavy wire bead tire... keep that in mind

Emphasis on HEAVY. I had quite the time pulling these off the used wheelset I bought and onto the new wheels for this bike. Never again... πŸ˜‚

I grabbed these tires off a wheelset I grabbed for cheap on FB marketplace. They are very bald, I don't think I'll be keeping them on the bike for long. I doubt they will do will in dirt. πŸ˜‚

I've been trying to find a way to import an Identiti Rebate XL into my country, Mexico, but its way too expensive or on some online shops they just dont wanna send it since theyre risking it not arriving...

I was told it came stock on an old specialized P2 or something. I have no way to confirm that. I should not that these are 24" wheels, making the fork look huge. It's only a 26" rigid lol

Ooh, that explains why the fork looks huge haha

I looked further into it. They are rigid forks from a 2012 specialized p1.
