I posted this tune here a few days ago and got some good feedback, so I did some more work on it and really leaned into the headzy aspect. I listened to some Fanu and Rift tunes and tried to emulate some of the things I heard there with the vocals and general arrangement/mixdown. Made using ableton 12, serum 2, phase plant, kilohearts suite, shadow hills mastering compressor, and valhalla suite. I think it's about 95% done?

Looking for some feedback on the mix down, feeling pretty good about this one

I'd love some feedback on this tune I made. I posted a version of it a while back, but I think this is the final cut. I was away from dnb for years as I was focusing on Hip Hop, but now I'm home. This is my first time producing a song in anything other than 4/4. Starts in 4/4, but abruptly switches to 15/8 shortly after for the rest of the track. How do you think I can improve my bass design and midi arrangement for next time? I scroll down to the bass arrangement at around the 36 second mark. I kind of just placed down the notes by ear as I don't really know much music theory. It's basically serving the function of a sub bass, but I'm hesitant to call it that since it's not really a true sub bass in terms of the EQ. The bass was made using a combination of Beatsurfing's Low VST and Rawton's Deviation Asymmetric Binaural Waveshaper Max for Live device. Those are great plug-ins, but probably not the best choice for what I am using them for in the track. I barely used any EQ on anything. It was mostly a combination of creative effects and volume mixing with lots of side-chaining to help with inter-sample peaks. I put an obscene amount of time and effort into this, but I know I can always do better. Any other advice you can give would also be greatly appreciated!

Yo what’s good, started this on a bus ride while I’m on holiday, obviously it’s a 3-5 hour sketch so nothing concrete but wanted to know who’s feeling the idea and whether people like it. Feedback of course welcome!

I think this is DnB break anyways, it’s a really simple 156 bpm programmed pattern on the EMX-1 and a nearly identical pattern on the Digitakt. At the part where I’ve used the Elektron Heat to add more distortion and envelope effects as I filtered the Digitakt drums out and then removed the filter completely at 2:12, is this interesting? Is this song boring? What do you think?

Been a while since I posted a new dawless jam, cooked this up over last week over a couple hours experimenting with resampling and processing external sound sources. Took a sustained bass sound from the Minifreak and chopped it up on the MC-707 to create an intense old school style dnb tune.
