22F in Egypt — Trapped in an abusive, controlling household and desperately seeking help to reach safety

Hi everyone,

I am 22 years old, living in Egypt, and reaching out because I desperately need help getting away from an abusive and controlling home environment.

Every single detail of my life is strictly dictated for me, including being forced to wear the hijab daily against my will and being constantly pressured into marriage. I live in daily fear for my physical safety, terrified of being hurt if I step out of line. My father strictly forbids me from stepping outside to work, and even my passion for playing my acoustic guitar and writing is treated like a severe sin.

For the past seven months, I have endlessly applied for work-from-home positions in hopes of gaining financial independence quietly, but I have had zero luck. Staying trapped here waiting for an online job is no longer safe or sustainable.

My immediate goal is simple: I am trying to gather a small baseline sum to secure a safe temporary room, cover basic food for the first few weeks, and pay for bus fare. The moment I have a safe door to lock behind me, everything changes. Once I am out of this environment, I can immediately go to in-person office interviews, secure employment, and permanently sustain myself.

Because my physical safety is completely at risk if my family finds out, I cannot share my legal name or exact physical location publicly. However, I am more than willing to verify my situation privately with community moderators or serious individuals.

Even a very small amount gives me a real chance at a quiet, safe life. If you cannot help directly, an upvote to help this reach more people means the world to me.

For safety and group guidelines, no payment details are posted here. Please send a private message if you are open to helping or offering guidance. Thank you so much for reading.

Request Help me and my son get through life

I’m not sure what to do. Going through severe medical issues.

I never thought I’d be doing something like this but sometimes life just beats you down. Within the span of the last two years I’ve broken my collar bone and suffered head damage, passed multiple kidney stones that only seem to be developing faster which means I may lose a kidney, and as of last month I had my first seizure and landed on concrete and had a severe cuncussion for over two weeks (the mark on my eye is from the fall)

Because of all of these health issues I have become backed up on my payments, had to move in with my dad, lost my great paying job for now, and started spiraling into depression. I never beg but I’m at the point where I feel like I can’t even be a good father and if money helps my son then so be it.

Thank you in advance regardless if you donate or not. https://gofund.me/a099e9f19

Request Thor, Ellie, Raphael, Angel, Angelito Update 🤍 #VoicelessNoMorePhRescuedAnimals

Hi everyone,

Thor and Ellie went back to the veterinary clinic for testing for a fungal infection, and unfortunately, both of their results came back positive for Malassezia (fungal dermatitis).

Their veterinarian explained that this may be related to the severe malnutrition and neglect they endured before they were rescued, which likely weakened their skin barrier and immune system. Thankfully, they do not need to be on a hypoallergenic diet at this time. They will, however, be receiving antifungal medications and supplements to help their skin heal and support their recovery.

Their recent expenses include:
Thor & Ellie veterinary bill — Aug. 17: Php 5,010 ($113.76 CAD)

Thor & Ellie veterinary bill — Aug. 19: Php 3,600 ($84.48 CAD)

Hypoallergenic food — Aug. 17: Php 2,475 ($56.15 CAD)

2x Royal Canin Gastrointestinal food — Aug. 16: Php 3,317 ($75.44 CAD)

Our rescued dogs Raphael and Angel were also recently at the veterinary clinic.

Raphael
Raphael went for his follow-up checkup. We are happy that his blood work and injuries have improved. However, the veterinarians recently discovered a mass under the skin on his right flank. For now, we will be monitoring it closely and following the veterinarian's recommendations.
Veterinary bill — Aug. 18: Php 800 ($18.10 CAD)

Angel
Angel was recently diagnosed with Babesia, a blood parasite. She had ticks before she was rescued last July, and unfortunately, the infection has now shown up in her blood work.
The good news is that her fungal infection is improving, and she continues to have a huge appetite, which is something we are very happy to see.
Veterinary bill — Aug. 17: Php 4,930 ($111.89 CAD)

Angelito
Angelito is still resting and eating well.
We are planning to take him to the veterinary clinic later to have his wound cleaned again and to have his blood work checked.

Because Angelito’s condition is severe, even though he was just recently seen by his veterinarian, we would also like to have him examined by a different doctor for a second opinion. We believe that having another veterinarian assess his condition may provide us with a different perspective and possibly additional recommendations on how we can better support his recovery and give him the best care possible.
We are doing everything we can to give Angelito a chance to heal. His condition is still very serious, but as long as he continues to fight, we want to continue fighting alongside him.

Again, will send updates as soon as we can.

We are doing our best to continue providing all of our rescued animals with the medical care, food, medications, shelter support/allowance, supplements, and anything that they need. But with multiple animals undergoing treatment at the same time, the expenses are becoming increasingly difficult for us to manage on our own.

If you are able to provide financial support toward their veterinary care, food, medications, transportation, daily needs, or our mission of helping vulnerable animals in the Philippines, it would mean so much to us and our rescued animals.
We also understand that not everyone can help financially. Support is completely voluntary, and kind words, encouragement, and sharing our posts are equally appreciated. Thank you for standing with us.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand behind our rescues and support them through their recovery. We truly appreciate you.

Sincerely,

# Daljeet’s Fight Is Our Family’s Fight — Please Help My Brother-in-Law ❤️

I’m reaching out to the Reddit community with a very difficult request: **please help my brother-in-law, Daljeet Singh, get the medical treatment he urgently needs.**

Daljeet is currently fighting for his life after a serious accident caused a **severe brain injury**. His condition became critical, and doctors had to perform **brain surgery** to treat his injuries and stabilize him.

He is now hospitalized at **MET Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana**, where he remains in the ICU under intensive medical care. He needs continuous monitoring, medicines, investigations, treatment and further care.

Our family has already spent around **₹2,00,000** trying to keep his treatment going. But the medical expenses are rising rapidly, and the estimated cost of his treatment is around **₹30,00,000**.

We are doing everything we can as a family, but this amount is far beyond what we can manage alone.

**I am asking for help because Daljeet’s life should not depend on whether our family can arrange enough money.**

Even a small donation can help with his ICU care, medicines, investigations, hospital treatment, procedures and rehabilitation. If you cannot donate, **sharing this fundraiser can also make a real difference.**

Medical documents are attached/provided as supporting documentation. The ImpactGuru fundraiser page also states that the campaigner and beneficiary have been verified and that medical documents have been submitted.

🙏 **Please consider helping Daljeet in this critical moment.**

❤️ *Donate here:*

If you cannot contribute financially, please upvote or share this post so it can reach someone who may be able to help.

**Thank you for taking the time to read Daljeet’s story. Please keep him and our family in your thoughts and prayers.**

Request 1 more mile for Tom

Hi all, I’ve been very fortunate to gain an entry into London Marathon running with Sarcoma UK.

If I'm going to ask people for money, it had to be a cause that means something — or not at all. So I applied for one place, at one charity. No backups.
In 2015 we lost one of my best mates, Tom, to Sarcoma. He was 21. Losing him shaped so many of us at an age when you're still working out who you are. I've tried to honour him in everything I've done since.

If you would like to spare a moment to check out my page that would be greatly appreciated. Just a £1 donation helps me along my way to helping others who receive a diagnosis like Tom’s to not run out of time. Thank you 🙏🏻

Request Angelito: Abused Senior Dog/Stabbed by Owner/Finally Rescued/Has Distemper,Heartworm,BloodParasite 💔💔💔

Thumbnail gallery
23 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

This is Angelito. His original name was “Parky”, but I decided to change it today when we finally got him rescued when I found out about his situation.

His owner stabbed his foot because they no longer wanted to take care of him. Yup.. i know, i couldn’t explain how I felt when I found out about the reason. They were planning to end his life too.

When we came across a video of Angelito online showing his situation, we immediately reached out for more information and asked for him to be rescued. He was from Jala Jala, Rizal, Philippines.

We arranged the same pet transportation service we used yesterday, and Angelito has now arrived safely at the vet. We are currently learning more about his condition and the treatment he will need.

Unfortunately, this rescue came at a time when we are already financially overwhelmed. We are still trying to recover from Sophia’s veterinary bill from August 12, and now we have another emergency rescue in need of immediate medical care. But when we see an animal suffering like this, it is very difficult to look away. Angelito deserved better, and we are going to do everything we can to give him a chance.

So far, we have already spent:
Vet: Php 23,590 ($537.36 CAD)
Pet transportation: Php 4,040 ($95.05 CAD)
Total so far: Php 27,630 ($632.41 CAD)

Angelito has also tested positive for Distemper, Heartworm, and blood parasite. He is also anemic and has liver problems and he is also already a senior dog, which means his recovery will require ongoing care and strict infection-control measures. We will be providing financial support to the shelter where he will stay, as we always do, and we will cover the supplies he needs for his recovery, including disinfectant materials to help protect the other animals at the shelter where he will be staying.

We are doing everything we can for Angelito, but we cannot do this alone. Every support is really important to us right now.

We will continue to share updates on Angelito’s condition.

Please help us help him, especially as he has a long recovery. Once he recovers, the vet recommended that his foot get amputated :/

Our website is on the pictures posted above. I will also post another link on the comment section.

Thank you all for understanding.

Sincerely,

Request Please Help Pay For Stevie's Vet Bills!

https://gofund.me/4161f58b1

Hello everyone! My name is Deanna and this here is Stevie. Stevie, has been with me for as long as I can remember, he has kept me going after I lost his brother last year to a brain tumour, and I love him more than he could ever know. Recently, he was diagnosed with severe entropion, where his eyelid rolls inward and fur constantly rubs against his eye. The damage has become so severe that part of his eye has died, and he's living with daily pain.

Stevie needs surgery, which will cost up to $5,300AUD and the veterinarian doing it is confident Stevie can make a full recovery! I'll be getting the surgery for him done regardless because he deserves to be comfortable and pain free, but the cost is feels overwhelming. I am a part time university student but I continue to work as many hours as I can at my retail job to help pay for this surgery. I'm based in Australia and have started a GoFundMe with the final goal being $1000AUD. I don't believe we could ever reach the full amount but truly anything helps. I would be truly grateful to anyone who can donate or even just share this post, and if you have any questions at all, please ask away! Thank you so much for reading about Stevie! ❤️❤️

Request Trying to survive a mess we got caught in

I am trying to find support to catchup a few bills due to being caught up in a situation with some family. A family member we were staying with had an affair and their partner took the house evicting everyone else; because that same family member was also helping provide transportation to kids doctors for my wife, who’s ineligible to drive due to a medical condition, when they left we were left having to try and get my employer to accommodate a new schedule who failed to do so. Unfortunately this put us in a situation without housing and a job. Thankfully by some help with family and use of gig apps like spark and Instacart we have managed to keep some basic food and shelter we are currently behind on some bills that do severely threaten that balancing act.

I have interviews for new positions coming up however bills will come due well before any background check or paycheck will come back.

Request Trying to rebuild my life after a serious work accident took a financial and emotional toll I wasn’t prepared for

https://gofund.me/23e43644a

A few months ago, I was involved in a serious accident while working as a truck driver. I walked away from that day, but in a lot of ways, I haven’t completely walked away from what happened.
The financial and emotional toll has been more than I was prepared for. Missing work and falling behind can turn into a hole incredibly fast, and bills don’t stop just because your life suddenly does. I’ve always been someone who works, handles my responsibilities, and figures things out, which has made accepting that I can’t simply work my way out of this one of the hardest parts.
Asking strangers for help isn’t easy for me, but I’ve reached a point where pride isn’t going to get me through this. If you’re able to donate or even just share my GoFundMe, I would genuinely appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Seeking help for my friend’s brother with hemophilia — currently hospitalized after two procedures

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

I’m asking for help for my friend’s brother, Angelito Zamora, who has been living with hemophilia since he was 7 years old.

On July 27, 2026, Angelito was rushed to a private hospital after experiencing severe abdominal pain and blood in his urine. His family initially tried to seek treatment at a public hospital, but because of the urgency of his condition and his hemophilia, they were concerned about delays in receiving the specialized care he needed.

They also had a previous experience with another family member who has hemophilia who became critically ill while waiting for treatment at a public hospital. Because Angelito’s doctors at the private hospital were already familiar with his medical history and hemophilia management, the family made the difficult decision to bring him there.

On August 6, he underwent an ERCP to address a stone in his bile duct, followed by gallbladder removal surgery. Thankfully, both procedures were completed, but he remains hospitalized and continues to require Factor VIII, medication, laboratory tests, monitoring, and post-operative care.

The financial burden has been overwhelming. His hospital bill is now around ₱700,000 (approximately US$12,000), and the family has already spent around ₱150,000 on Factor VIII alone. They have paid ₱400,000 as a down payment, but they are struggling to keep up with the remaining expenses.

The family has also taken steps to reduce the ongoing costs, including transferring Angelito to a charity ward, where doctors’ fees moving forward are waived. However, the existing hospital bill and continuing medical expenses remain.

I’m sharing this because his family really needs help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you aren’t able to donate, even sharing the fundraiser could help us reach people who might be able to contribute.

If anyone would like additional information about his situation or the expenses, I’m happy to provide what I can.

Thank you for taking the time to read Angelito’s story. 🙏
