The other week I've was listening to DT and heard Kory talking about a disclaimer that was very long before he did the ad read. My thoughts where ahhh shit here we go again lol. And I my gut was right Kory doing ad read for draft picks (aka online gambling) after that you hear Kory justify why he choose the brand to ad read in sort for money.

So it had me thinking about him and Martin being very vocal on this current president administration. Never shy to speak their minds on it.

I do get it everyone need make money and he has bills to pay as well employees too.

But where do you draw the line? Some may say maybe im over stepping or being too much on something that not big deal, But Gambling has negative effect on people not just financial but their on physical and emotional health too.

Willing to do ad read for online betting,

where now you don't need know someone or go to place place bets, it is easy access cause it on a app, that is mobile.

There are articles about how

"The Trump administration has supported federal oversight of online prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket, setting up legal conflicts with states trying to enforce traditional gambling laws."

And yes it not draftpicks but they all are about same in structure.

As well articles stating

So where im going with this is "civil" (given the chat family idk if it possible hahaha)

Last breaking point is where I get news they are self funded from online donations, subscription and so on so they don't have do ad reads for dick pill or sport gambling lol

I'm not here tell how run his company but as avid listener I was bit disappointed on his choice for ad read.

I'm going continue listening cause they are very entertaining even when we don't see eye to eye on their opinions.

In all seriousness, I'm so thankful to have come across Double Toasted and its community.

There are many different reasons why different people love this show, but for me, Double Toasted (and I guess the Yakuza series) quickly erased any anxieties I had about getting older. Every show I get to see gentlemen about a generation or so above me (a nineties baby) nerd out, analyze film, and goof around. I especially like their little early show anecdotes. Korey's solo encounters at bars make me want to go out and hang around my local bars as well (wallet permitting).

I got to tell him this in San Francisco, but he was probably too drunk to remember so I'll say it again:

"You aren't a role model, but you sure make getting older look a lot less scary," or something like that. I was drunk too.

It's like that picture of the rollercoaster and you see the returning folks in the other car coming back as demonic skeletons. Korey's a demonic skeleton, but he sure makes it look a lot more fun.
