I was playing PSO on Flycast and I’m trying to transfer the save file to my VMU now that I have a Dreamcast. I’ve converted the save files to every possible file and built a CDI and every time I try to transfer it doesn’t even bother to download. I’ve used every tool I can find, all the way back to some from 03-06 and still nothing. Does anybody know of a way to fix this?

I insert the disk (cd-r), it spins for a bit, Dreamcast checks it, then disk stops spinning and it dreamcast tells to insert a disk. I tried cleaning the lens, nope. I also tried manually holding down that switch (on the photo), at a VERY specific angle disk kept spinning, but stopped after the dreamcast intro. I tried different disks (all cd-r, rayman 2, crazy taxi 2, Sonic adventure 2), only crazy taxi 2 worked (i didn't go past the CRACKED BY EURASIA screen). I was going to get a GD-EMU but can't right now. Anything i could try to fix the drive? Disks are fine, not scratched, clean

Picked up a Dreamcast this weekend for the first time ever. Played one briefly back in college in 2001 but never for more than a couple minutes. Looking forward to getting going with it. No games so far, just console, 1 OEM controller, rumble pack, and a DC Striker. Will eventually be putting an ODE into it, and possibly replacing the shell with a translucent orange one.

Today I randomly went to a store a few towns over after an unrelated event and found a CIB of one of the more rare DC games.

Never thought I'd have a copy of my own both due to never seeing it before in person and the price... but since it was there, I couldn't not buy it... right? It wasn't even on display yet, but he mentioned having it since i found several other games I was interested in. Ended up checking off a few high priority games from my list today.

Going to give it a try soon. Hope it's actually fun!

I got it in an auction for just 61 usd, the description of the console was very vague and the person who was auctioning it didn’t know how rare this was.
Sega collaborated with Toyota at the very beginning of the Dreamcast era, releasing this unique model through only 160 dealerships in Japan. This is the first version, while a second one later appeared with a sticker variation. Many of these sets were lost or ended up in poor condition, and they were only available in Japan, which makes them largely unknown outside of that market. Alongside the console, accessories like this racing wheel were sold, characterized by their unique box design and the Toyota-branded Dream Passport disc. The serial numbers on the box, console, disc, and case all match, making this a truly original and complete set. The disc itself is in mint condition, fully functional, as is the Dreamcast console. This set is not a bubble — you won’t suddenly see 2,000 of these coming out of a warehouse and dropping the price. It remains a rare and historically significant collector’s item. I’m not asking for anything for it, just showing it off, since I don’t have an estimated price for it.

On my copy, everything is super laggy, even the opening FMVs. They also skip terribly and the game crashes for almost any reason. It's a legitimate copy and the only game on my entire collection that does this, so I don't think my laser is the issue. The number on the disc is T-36812N if that helps.

I know an official version of this already exists but I decided to make my own version to match my vmu!

Even with all the swearing, yelling, VMU peeking, middle fingers, and arguments, we still have a very fun time and our friendship remains intact.

(P.S. I'm that friend who's trying to just win whilst laughing at anyone who messes up lol).

Saw a similar mod while randomly browsing the net.

Controller was tough to source components for as it is made up of 100% OEM parts. I would like black ABXY buttons but haven't found after market controller parts.

People that have seen it refer to my "Halloween" Dreamcast while a friend from Chicago wants it because it reminds him of the Bears.

I'd love to start a thread for this topic so here is a compilation of my favorites for recreating the arcade at home. Any ideas I'm willing to at least try. 👍

So, I tried to set up DreamPi on my Raspberry Pi 400. My Dreamcast said it connected, but I wasn't able to connect to any websites or servers. I noticed that the BerryBoot version of DreamPi was 1.8, not 2.0. But when I tried to load up the image for 2.0 on my Pi 400, it didn't work. Does anyone with a Pi 400 have a working DreamPi setup here?

Hello all, just picked up my first Dreamcast after regretting not getting one at the time, and loving it. I was just after a bit of help with my TV settings in order to get that perfect picture

I have an LG C1 Oled and have a Keico HDMI converter set to VGA and just wondered what TV settings with similar TV’s were using.

I play in Game Optimiser mode and the picture just seems a bit off. Sonic Adventure looks a bit blown out/loss of detail in bright areas. Tomb Raider The Last revelation looks really dark (I’ve read it IS a dark game), as does Resident Evil 2 slightly. But no game I play ‘looks right’ really.

My settings are:

Sharpness 0
OLED Pixel Brightness 100
Contrast 85
Screen Brightness 50
Gamma 2.2
Colour Depth 50
Black Level Auto
White Balance Warm 2

I know OLEDS are very unforgiving, and this is a near 30 year old console, but was just hoping for some pointers as I’ve seen videos where the Dreamcast still looks stunning.
