I saw the post about the entitled DreamWorks fan bashing Disney Starter Pack

I always hear that 2D animation costs more than 3D and that’s why studios aren’t relying on 2D anymore. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but if that’s the case then why The Wild Robot costed less than a regular 3D animated movie if there was a lot of 2D in it? Like the backgrounds, some animations etc

I gotta feeling this company isn’t iconic enough how can we as a fanbase make DreamWorks more popular

I just finished watching Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts. And it was absolutely fantastic. (And how dare Netflix take it down!)

This idea I actually got from my brother, after he jokingly said, what if the characters notice kipo's name appearing out of nowhere on a random thing before it cuts to the title card?

It's expectedly rare for the studio, but if they call for it, they will soften their female antagonists when needed, just like how Pixar normally does with theirs.

So we all know the story of Jeffrey Katzenberg and how he was fired from Disney; went on to found Dreamworks in an act of petty revenge against Michael Eisner, etc.

My question is: Do you think Shrek works as a satirical attack against Disney the company and the way it adapts Fairy Tales and books into animation, or is it more narrowly aimed at certain leadership in that company?

Like I’m not sure what the Shrek and Puss in Boots films are actually saying about Disney other than cheap potshots here and there at the general fairy tale aesthetic?

The season 14 premiere of Gabby's Dollhouse was put on YouTube. The episode properly introduces Doozie. 

Just finished invisible city and I noticed this between the two. Mei referring to Nai Nai as “ma” like if she is her mother. but Nai Nai refers to Mei as her daughter in law in spots. So is Yi’s father Nai Nai’s son or is Mei Nai Nai’s daughter, I’m so confused 😭.

Both are from abominable and I’m talking bout both the movie and the show. FYI

What if there was a Dreamworks Platform Fighting game?

If they did Kart racing, why not a Fighter so I made these mock-ups for what it could look like and how I envision it.

The game would play similarly to Smash Bros but would have some differences.

The Final Smash equivalent for this game would be called Dream Attacks which can be activated once you've filled your Dream Meter.

I'd imagine the roster to start small at launch but will get DLC later on, 23 Fighters would be enough.

I included the most popular characters and franchises first and then added some lesser known but beloved characters/franchises.

I'm not sure about echo fighters but if there were to be, I'd guess Kitty Softpaws and Branch could be Echoes as they do fit the body shape and could have similar moves but with some slight differences.

Shrek:

You have to have Shrek, Donkey and Fiona in there. Not sure if they would have their Shrek 5 design or not but I'd imagine you can have the option of both designs.

Puss in Boots:

I don't want to flood the roster with too many Shrek reps but I can get away with this one as Puss in Boots is it's own series.

Kitty Softpaws could be an Echo Fighter.

Kung Fu Panda:

Po obviously, Tigress is the most popular of the Furious Five and Tai Lung is an iconic villain and has appeared the most.

How to train your Dragon:

It's best to separate both of them as they can stand on their own and Toothless got more independent as the films went on so it made sense to me to make them their own fighters.

Astrid had to be there as well and could actually use Stormfly in her Moveset.

Madagascar:

Alex the lion is the main character and the most important out of the four so I chose him. He also had a lot of moveset potential with his acrobatics and dance skills.

You have to include Penguins of Madagascar and I imagine the main Penguin to be Skipper but can summon the rest of them as attacks.

Trolls:

The Trolls trilogy is undeniably big so I included Poppy and she has a unique fighting style with her hair and music themes.

Branch could be an Echo Fighter.

The Bad Guys:

Mr. Wolf is the main guy but can summon other members as attacks.

The Wild Robot:

The Wild Robot was a great breakout hit and is getting a sequel so I had to put Roz in and she provides a very unique moveset with the arm stretching and calling the animals for attacks.

The Croods:

Grug is the most iconic due to memes and can the game's grappler fighter.

Megamind:

He has become a cult classic and has such a unique moveset to work with.

Megamind:

Don't worry, he will use his De-Hydration gun this time although it might need to be balanced.

Dogman:

I chose Dogman over Captain Underpants due to Dogman being relevant, Dogman having a sequel in the works and already fights in the source material.

Over the Hedge:

I was considering other candidates like RJ or the Verminator but Hammy is the most iconic and could use his speed.

Monsters V.S. Aliens:

I also considered other options like Ginormica/Susan or even the Missing Link but B.O.B. is the most popular and the idea of him being playable is too funny. He also has appeared in other crossovers so why not this one as well.

Rise of the Guardians:

Rise of the Guardians has gotten more attention recently and has become a cult classic.

Jack Frost had to be the rep for this film as he is by far the most famous Guardian.

Now there is a few I left out but that is because I'm leaving the door open for DLC.

Lord Shen, King Julian, Death would all be great picks for DLC. We can even have Wallace and Gromit in there as well. Moses is also a great DLC pick.

There's a few franchises/characters I decided to not add in due to some concerns like:

Oscar from Shark Tale. The film is pretty bad flop and has a bad rep. I don't think Dreamworks would add him in an official crossover although it would be funny to have Oscar fight Marty in the future?

Berry from Bee Movie. Size isn't an issue as Included the Trolls but Bee Movie is a pretty divisive movie to say the least and Jerry Seinfeld is a controversial figure so I don't think they don't want to be associated with the Bee Movie.

Boss Baby is a big series for Dreamworks and could work for a moveset but I don't feel comfortable having a game where you beat up an Infant and I don't think Dreamworks would do so as well. I could see the Boss Baby as an assist though.

For Stages, I picked the most iconic and also ones that works as a Stage to fight on.

The Dreamworks Clouds would be the battlefield/Final Destination of this game.
