Tech Support Dji mini 5 pro waypoints were completely wrong the 2nd flight, anyone know why?

made a hyperlapse waypoint, saved it, then went to fly it again and framing was 80% off , looking a whole other direction idk how to explain it better. it kind of blew my mind because I have done many in the past that were precise.

is this a known issue / any fixes ? can you adjust framing or anything without having to redo the entire waypoints?

Open it in Litchi and see what the plot points look like.

Calibrated compass (once before flight is fine) and wait for good GPS update before take off every time. Dont take off near metal objects or vehicles.

Its likely that it just had some kind of gps offset during the first flight or difference in the compass bias between flights.

I'm interested to see if this fixes it

well it seems like it was a one time fluke. ironically all the times it has worked I launched it off my car, and the time it didnt was in a empty field.

When you restart the drone the gps fix is slightly different on each restart which means where it thinks the pins are, are also slightly different. Only fix really is rtk.

No. Real-time-kinematic. It’s a specific type of gps it needs special antennas etc.
