Five years ago tonight, at 9:45 p.m., Lee changed dimension.
I don’t think anybody can imagine the shock I was in. For a long time I could not believe that it was real. My whole life had been focused on Lee. Twelve years earlier, he asked me to give up my business so I could travel with him to every performance. He did not feel comfortable otherwise.
When I was with him, he could finally relax and just be Lee. I took care of everything around him, made sure he ate well and stayed fit and healthy, and kept the everyday problems away from him so he could concentrate on his creativity and music.
It is hard to believe that five years have passed, because his presence, his words, his music and everything we planned are still part of my everyday life.
I promised that I would continue Lee’s vision for the community and do everything in my power to make it become reality.
After Hurricane Melissa at the end of October last year, I went back to Switzerland to finish my move. When I returned to Jamaica in January 2026, I became completely occupied with dealing with all the damage.
There was a lot to repair in Montego Bay and Negril. £$P Paradise was protected and the main buildings held well, but the land still suffered a lot of damage. Trees and plants were gone, the greenhouse, chicken and goat houses were destroyed, the storage roof was gone and the solar system was damaged.
When we first started building £$P Paradise Community, there were volunteers and people helping. After Lee was no longer physically here, that changed.
I was left to organize the land, find workers, deal with contractors, replace people when they became dishonest and correct work that had been done badly. There was nobody beside me who could take even a small part of the huge amount of work off my shoulders.
Until now, I have financed everything myself.
Now the time has come for people who believe in this idea to come together and join.

I feel like Delton Screechie doesn't get anywhere near the respect he deserves. The man has an extensive catalog spanning multiple eras of reggae and dancehall, yet he's still virtually unknown to a lot of listeners.

No video unfortunately but I saw RSD at the Cider Box recently and he played a what sounded like a Stepper which sampled the Doctor Who Theme Song. If anyone can let me know what that was I will be eternally grateful!

This is some footage of MAD PROFESSOR and his son JOE ARIWA playing a gig at Búzios, a very famous city here in Rio de Janeiro state. This place was called Cabine and me and my wife were hired by the owners (our friends) to record some videos to pass the vibe along. (we are dub producers and music producers in general)

Amazing gig, one of the best of my life and I was so honored to be so close to one of the CORNERSTONES of dub music. We also chatted and connected after the gig. As a Dub Producer, this was like majoring. This footage was sitting in my HD, never before seen, so I stitched it together and decided to post here to this subreddit delight, enjoy!

Quest'anno ho partecipato all' XI edizione del DUBSTONE, uno dei più importanti festival dub in Italia. Si è svolto dal 20 al 24 agosto a Isola di Capo Rizzuto, un paese nella provincia di Crotone. Quest'anno figuravano nomi come OMOLO / I-TAL SOUP / KING SHILOH (che purtroppo ha avuto dei problemi e non si è esibito) / ECHOTRONIX / MR ZEBRE / DUB ENGINE / WEEDING DUB / JOE YORKE / LION WARRIAH / VIBRONICS / SUPAHNOVA / GALAS / BABABOOM HI-FI / DUB HARP. L'atmosfera è stata magica, anche perché il festival si tiene in un campeggio. Immaginate di essere circondati da alberi di pino ed eucalipto, a pochi metri da un mare cristallino, in compagnia di gente e vibrazioni positive. Senza dubbio una delle esperienze più belle della mia vita.
