Englewood has some great choices to eat and it’s going to get better. Just wanted to share a few places that are just outside the lines of Englewood
1. smokin outlaw kitchen / BBQ - amazing brisket and ribs (I think inside of city limits)
2. Bistro 36 - French restaurant the prices are above average but great patio (Belleview & prince)
3. Lavendar coffee shop (cherry hills)
4. Aloy Thai (cherry hills)

For many children, bikes are a symbol of independence, allowing them to roll to the park or school with their friends. However, some kids aren’t able to get their own bike. Luckily, for second graders at Bishop Elementary School, getting a bike isn’t a problem.

This week’s Question of the Week is in poll form: The car lot next to the Gothic is gone. What’s likely to replace it?

We’re seeing businesses move into Englewood from Denver. What have you enjoyed seeing move into the city? What are you hoping to see in the future?

Going through some changes in life and focusing my free time towards running and getting in shape. Are there any running clubs or anything similar that meet on Wednesday/Sundays? I work until 630pm every other day so if there are any evening runs thats cool too. I would love to meet some new friends and thought this would be a start (34/M). Really anything works, thanks.

Saw some turkeys running around Downing and Old Hampden this morning. That's a new one for me.

I live at an apartment community in Englewood and have noticed my water from my fridge tastes almost moldy. I have a filter under my sink so I just use that but I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing this or what it could be. The fridge filter was recently changed.

Currently protesting management because my apartment flooded and the AC broke and they offered me no refund, no hotel to put me up in and no move to another apartment.

This Friday’s Historic Englewood post will be replaced by a Joe Anderson tribute thread. Let’s share our thoughts and stories about Joe to help our community through this terrible time.
I didn’t know Joe, but I watched many a city council meeting where he handled difficult situations with calm grace. It’s obvious he cared about the people of Englewood and the city itself. Our entire community will be affected by his loss. My deepest sympathy for his family.

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Mayor Pro Tem Joe Anderson. We became friends with Joe before he ran for office, and we always admired how much he gave of himself to his neighbors. From the helpful Neighborhood Rehab Project to his tireless work on council and his supportiveness as a friend, Joe was the embodiment of selflessness. He gave from his heart without expecting anything in return and cared deeply for everyone around him.
He left a young family far too soon, and we hope they always know how many lives their father touched.
Joe took care of all of us—now it’s our turn to take care of them. We’ll have a place to donate set up inside the Grand tomorrow, and here’s a link to donate to support his family.

Helping a friend and need referrals for a bilingual (Spanish/English) immigration lawyer on an asylum case. We need to retain quickly for their upcoming hearing. Who do you know that is trustworthy and effective?

Hi neighbors -- Nothing fancy or deep, just a breakdown of the renovations that will take place at the Englewood Rec Center between now and next spring. Recreation Manager Sara Stant and Capital Project Manager Gina Olberding graciously showed me around the facility and explained what's coming. Born and raised in Englewood. Fortunate to have moved back and purchased a home in the same zip code I grew up in. Need local plumber, hvac, and electrician recommendations. My neighbor uses Brothers but their 'membership club' doesn't pass the sniff test. Would love to consider other options if anyone has any recommendations!

This week’s mystery location is a bit more obscure than last week’s- can you pinpoint this location in Englewood?
Edit: my bad, I should’ve said don’t post exact residence addresses please, the general area suffices.

Or is this some type of violation to leave this much food out for wild animals

Another week brings another Question of the Week: What is the Englewood business you most regret closing? Recent or longtime regret, let us know.

Does Englewood have a public outdoor track anywhere? I'm well aware of the indoor track at the rec center. I'm looking to do some 400m interval training so a standard sized track is way more ideal
Thanks!

Just posting this as a reminder that these thefts are still pretty common in town and to post a picture of the stolen onewheel in case someone comes across it (it was heavily customized), and to show everyone the culprit and the car.
My lovely neighbors' garage camera captured this video of the theft.
I know, my fault for leaving something valuable in the car overnight, but goddamnit this sucks.
