Oh but they can tax the shit out of your investments in better performing markets, to the point they become worse investments.

Ah yes, the EU taxes. Which do not exists.

And thanks to Ursulas plans I can just use cyprus, Malta, Luxemburg and others to dodge a tax like this legally.

I'm just saying the EU *can* adopt legislation requiring all country members to implement a common tax rule

All countries agreeing on a common tax rule is so unrealistic, that I (and any other investor in the EU) don't need to fear them.

So we are at point one. Investments flow into better performing markets and the EU economy and its markets aren't performing well. That doesn't change because it's easy.

We already have the tax havens in the EU. I don't get my Amazon packages from Amazon Germany, but from a SARL in Luxemburg. Do you think it's realistic that all 27 states will agree, while they can't even agree to not tax undermine each other?

Also it's not their money. It's our money. We didn't lend our money from our governments. (It's the other way around as indebted our governments are).

That's literally my point. They all share the same interest because the competitor is outside of the EU, not within. Reason for unifying is trivial.

The EU *can* abolish the veto and become a federation. From *can* to *will* is a pretty long way
