And it's gaining even more traction on Germany. "Die Linke" Party in Germany has plans to introduce a 12% wealth tax for people with wealth higher one billion. 5% above 50 million and 1% above a million.

And they are seriously gaining more and more votes.

I'm not even talking about leftist parties with obviously leftist economic policies here, but liberal parties, centrist parties and centre-right parties that propose similarly economically illiberal laws like unrealized capital gains tax and capital controls.
