I forgot where this was, I was just walking down the street when this beast popped up. It was a few years ago and sadly I only had an old phone to take a photo, as I left my camera in my hotel. The pic doesn’t really capture how enormous and dark it loomed over the streets and I will forever regret not taking my camera out on my evening walk.

Inside are a tourist centre and some restaurants. This image is not a black and white photograph, it was just a very grey day when I took it.

It is the oldest parliamentary building in Europe. It was originally build as a castle. King Lodewijk of the Netherlands, the brother of Napoleon Bonaparte is one of the kings who lived there.

And during the occupation of the Netherlands by Nazi Germany from 1940 to 1945, the Binnenhof was used by those fucking nazi's as the seat of government.

The huge pond next to it makes it look like a floating city. :)
