I read the two collections of stories, and the first two novels,, and I loved them. There are still 3 novels in the chronical order of the series, would they be such good as the first two ones? Thanks

I personally think Baptism of Fire and Tower of the Swallow are the best of the saga per se, up there with some of the short stories.

IMO, no they are not. For me, the most enjoyment came with the first book.

The rest is still OK, but not as good. I really like the new book on the origin story of Geralt.

I enjoyed them all but by far I loved the short stories in the first two the most.

Yes. And, to be frank, Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt are similarly structured to the short story anthologies you have already read. Also, realize that even with the short story novels, he is building a world and writing a much longer overall tale. Hopefully this encourages you to continue!!

People have advised me to not red these books because apparently there’s some kind of issue in translation?

I might not be true but I’ve heard that the translations of his work isn’t the best quality.

The Arabic translation is really a high quality one.

I should have also added that people have advised me to simply just play the video games. And that that’s where you’ll find the true spirit of the novels if you don’t read their native language.
