Looking for practice partner
Hi I’m looking for someone to practice Farsi with, I started learning 3 months ago. I haven’t fully learnt the Persian alphabet yet but can read most of the characters and write words like درود. I’ve got some good resources to self learn, but I’d really like a native speaker, preferably female (like myself) to talk to. Nothing serious, maybe just once every few weeks we could speak.
Please let me know if you’re interested. (Comment or DM)

If you don't mind a guy, I could help you practice once in a while. If you do mind then I hope some Iranian girl sees this post and helps you out.

I strongly recommend Italki. You have to pay, but you can find proper teachers that can help you improve not only your speaking skills but also reading and writing.

I actually downloaded italki last night and am pretty disappointed with how it is now. I used it over 10 years ago and it was so open and free to use back then.
There were still paid teachers back then, but the community had a great search feature where you could put in the language you’re learning and search through all the native speakers and choose who you want to dm. Just random people to talk to. I can’t find that on there now, it seems closed off and only for paying teachers now. I’m just looking for someone to casually speak to.4

Have you tried Tandem? Its a language exchange app. I don't know if they have any native Persian speakers that want to learn your language, but if your L1 is English or any other major language thee shouldn't be any issue to find someone to speak with.

try Preply! that’s how i’m learning farsi, i do an hour long class once a week with a tutor and have been doing so for 2 years now
edit: you can find tutors based on what kind of learning you want to focus on, so you can look for those that focus on conversation perhaps? i message mine on whatsapp occasionally in addition to speaking in farsi as much as possible during class

I think you can find Persian speaking discord servers or something like that depending on what you're interested about so you actually engage. You can look up servers with Iran tag in dis board.

Yeah I tried discord before. There’s one ‘good’ server for the language but it’s… weird. I left it because there’s always fighting in it. I joined back and it’s still weird and more fighting.

Hey I also started learning persian like three or four weeks ago I am at the level that I can read almost fully all words and know a bit of grammer like the word endings change according to the first second and third person and we have a prefix for the word like mi and b for habitual/ ongoing and for subjective/ imperative respectively and the endings also change for plurals some of the prepositions and I really enjoy it specially the writing part . I am using chat gpt to learn it havent get any friends who are also at the same pace to talk with so if u r interested dm
