[1.21.1 NeoForge] Tensura: Sovereign Rebirth — Looking for Beta Testers | Progression RPG, Nations, Bosses, Skills, Evolution & More
We've been working on Tensura: Sovereign Rebirth, a large progression-focused modpack built around Tensura: Reincarnated, and we're finally opening it up to more Beta testers.
The main idea behind TSR is pretty simple: instead of taking Tensura and surrounding it with a pile of unrelated mods, we've been trying to build the entire pack around the progression that Tensura already provides.
You reincarnate, build EP, collect and evolve skills, advance through racial evolutions, name subordinates, fight increasingly dangerous enemies, build your territory, and eventually work toward awakening.
The difference is that there is now a lot more to actually do with that power once you get it.
What We've Built Around Tensura
TSR currently includes a pretty large portion of the available Tensura addon ecosystem, including content centered around:
- Additional races and evolution paths
- Unique and Ultimate Skills
- Better subordinate and naming systems
- Gear evolution
- Magicule-based progression and engineering
- Additional bosses and Tensura-specific encounters
- Skill study and progression systems
- Guilds
- Ascension content
- Additional artifacts and equipment
- Tensura compatibility with other major mods in the pack
We've also been building our own compatibility fixes where needed instead of accepting that two systems simply don't work together.
The goal is for Tensura to remain the main character progression system from the beginning of the pack through the endgame.
Bosses That Give You a Reason to Get Stronger
One problem with Tensura is that once your character starts getting ridiculous, normal Minecraft stops being much of a threat.
So TSR adds a much larger combat side through mods such as:
- L_Ender's Cataclysm
- Bosses' Rise
- Legendary Monsters
- Mowzie's Mobs
- Ice and Fire
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks
- Beyond Adventures
- Additional Tensura bosses and unique monsters
Several of these also have direct Tensura integrations.
You are not expected to kill everything the first time you find it.
Some fights are there specifically so you can get destroyed, remember where the boss is, and come back later when you've become something significantly more dangerous.
Exploration Actually Matters
The world uses Terralith + Tectonic as its terrain foundation and has been expanded with a curated mix of larger dungeons, smaller structures, caves, ruins, villages, and other points of interest.
That includes content from:
- When Dungeons Arise
- YUNG's structure overhauls
- Repurposed Structures
- Moog's structures
- Aether Villages
- Farmer's Structures
- Additional boss structures
We're also controlling structure density instead of letting every structure mod generate at full blast.
There should be things worth finding without the world looking like someone scattered twenty structure mods across every chunk.
Multiple Dimensions
The Overworld isn't the entire game.
Current dimension content includes:
The Aether
with Deep Aether, additional villages and supporting content.
The Twilight Forest
with expanded structures, loot, food content and additional boss progression.
Eternal Starlight
with its own environments, enemies, resources and progression.
Deeper and Darker
for expanded Deep Dark progression.
Cataclysm Dimension
for additional Cataclysm content.
And those are on top of the dimensions and progression already provided through the Tensura ecosystem.
Build a Nation, Not Just a Base
One of the major goals for TSR is giving players something to build once they start becoming powerful.
MineColonies is heavily supported, including:
- StyleColonies
- Lunara Colonies
- Tensura MineColonies integration
- MineColonies Mages
- Create integration
- Additional colony support and QoL
There is also a fairly large building selection with Chipped, Rechiseled, FramedBlocks, Supplementaries, Macaw's building mods, Create Deco and more.
If you want to build a village, guild headquarters, fortress, city or full kingdom, there is enough here to actually do it.
You don't have to use MineColonies either. It's just one path available.
Automation Without Turning TSR Into a Tech Pack
We have Create and Mekanism, but neither is supposed to replace the RPG side of the pack.
They're there for players who want factories, infrastructure, resource processing, power generation and automation once their base starts growing.
Create also has integrations with MineColonies, storage systems and several other parts of the pack.
The idea is to let technology support your progression rather than become the progression.
Gear and Things Worth Hunting For
Character power isn't limited to EP and skills.
The pack also includes:
- Relics
- Artifacts
- Ancient Artifacts
- Silent Gear
- Silent Gear Metalworks
- Tensura Metalworks
- Gear Evolution
- Boss equipment
- Rare exploration rewards
We've also added compatibility between some of these systems and Tensura so equipment progression doesn't feel completely disconnected from your character.
Quests
TSR has a custom quest campaign designed to teach the systems that actually need explaining.
It isn't supposed to be:
Break wood
Make crafting table
Make pickaxe
Congratulations, here's 4 bread.
The quests are being built around actual progression, mechanics, bosses, exploration, colonies, equipment and Tensura systems.
If you already know what you're doing, you're also free to ignore large portions of it and go do your own thing.
Multiplayer Is a Major Part of the Pack
TSR is being developed with an actual multiplayer environment in mind, not just tested in a single-player world and then thrown onto a server.
We have systems in place for:
- Teams
- Claims
- Individualized structure loot
- Maps and waypoints
- Voice chat
- Server utilities
- Multiplayer progression
- Colonies
- Long-running worlds
A lot of our Beta testing is specifically focused on catching the problems that only show up once multiple people start progressing at the same time.
Why We're Looking for Beta Testers
This is still a Beta.
We're not looking for people who expect a completely finished pack with zero issues.
We're looking for people who actually want to play it and tell us when something is wrong.
That includes:
- Progression blockers
- Broken skills
- Crashes
- Bad recipes
- Missing recipes
- Broken compatibility
- EP exploits
- Bosses that are wildly overtuned or undertuned
- Broken quests
- Bad loot
- World generation problems
- Multiplayer issues
- Performance problems
- Anything that simply doesn't make sense
If something breaks, we'd rather know about it now than after the full release.
How to Join the Beta
The server IP is not publicly posted.
To get access:
- Join the Infinite Gaming Servers Discord
- Open a ticket
- Let us know you're joining for the Tensura: Sovereign Rebirth Beta
- We'll provide the current pack information and server access
- You'll receive the Beta Tester role
Beta access is intentionally handled this way so we know who is actually testing the pack and have somewhere organized to collect bug reports and feedback.

What TSR Is Trying to Be
We're not trying to make the largest modpack possible.
We're trying to make a pack where becoming stronger actually opens up more things to do.
Start weak.
Find skills.
Evolve.
Get destroyed by something stronger than you.
Come back later.
Build a settlement.
Turn it into a nation.
Find stronger enemies.
Awaken.
And keep going.
That's Tensura: Sovereign Rebirth.
Reincarnate. Evolve. Build. Awaken. Rule.
