First attempt with long exposure/night photography.
Shot on Nikon EM w/ 50mm f/1.8 lens.
Portra 800.
Developed and scanned by Dark Room.
Used a tripod and shutter release cable, with the EM in bulb mode for first 3 photos.
Handheld in auto mode on the last 3 photos.

Bought a seasoned Cardia 2000 Date and here’s the result. The motorized zoom and lens cover slide tend to stuck at times which I think is normal for an old camera.

On first 4 rolls of film I took. ofc there is some over exposed pictures I didnt send here and now I know that cameras own light meter over expose about 1 step. Pics are not the sharpest so is is about the scanner, film, lens, user or mix of those?

I got on Vinted a box with 6 Agfa RSX II 100 slide film that someone forgot in the back of their freezer. They were expired in 2007, but still looked great with minimal color casts.
Any suggestions on how to improve my exposures for slides? I still have 5 rolls left :)

Just got the scans from my first ever roll of film. Fujifilm 400 shot through a Canon AE-1.

I'm hooked on pushing to 1600. Being able to go between indoors and outdoors is such a nice capability.

I took these photos a few days ago and dev/scanned them myself. This is HP5 @ 1600 shot on a Leica m6 /w voigtlander nokton 1.4 II 35mm dev'd in ddx.

I'm going to the Georgia aquarium and I was wanting to shoot some film while there and I was wondering what would happen if I use Cinestill 800t in an already extremely blue environment. I'm thinking it will either look really cool or really bad. I'm going to take some portra 800 as well but what do you guys think will happen with the 800t?

Hi everyone, hope this is allowed here. I’m after some advice.
I have around 13 rolls of various film that I shot between 3 and 7 years ago. Life got in the way and I never had the time/money to get them developed. Unfortunately i never really kept track of the expiry date or when i shot each roll.

They’ve been sitting in a drawer in their canisters ever since, and I’m finally in a position to get them developed.
Some of the films I have are:

Ilford FP4
Ilford HP5
Kodak Ultramax 400
Fujifilm Superia Xtra 400

I’m assuming these are all quite badly expired by now, particularly since they’ve been stored at room temperature for years.

Is there anything special I need to tell the lab when I send these away to be developed? For example, do they need to know roughly how old the rolls are, how they’ve been stored, etc.? Or can I simply send them in and have them developed normally?

I’m not particularly concerned about colour shifts, discolouration, grain, or generally weird-looking results. But I’d just really like to give the negatives the best possible chance of producing some usable images rather than potentially losing them completely.

Also, for any Aussies here, are there any film labs on the East coast that you’d particularly recommend for developing old/expired film that I can mail these to?

I been researching film cameras and contemplated getting an Olympus OM1 and a Canon AE but recently did a search and came across a Canon Canonet QL17 Giii. Has anyone had any experience with all 3 and if so which did/would you choose?

Taken with Olympus MJUII on Kodak gold

Got some old film from a few years ago developed recently, it was shot, forgotten about in the “I’ll develop that when I get paid” pile for at least four, maybe five years. Just wondering why exactly it came out like that? Whenever I see photos on exposed film it doesn’t tend to look that dramatic, what difference does it make if it’s shot fresh and expires before development or allowed to expire and then exposed and developed?

That's it, thought it looked cool. My film lab sprinkled some sugar on these I guess.

Camera used: Minolta SRT 101.
Lens(es) Minolta rokkor 50mm f1.4 and 28mm f2.8
Film: Kodak Gold 200
Film develloped in lab.
Previous roll was FINE using same combo camera/lens/film type.
Every single pose of the 36 roll came out this way.

1 - any idea what is going on?
2 - how do I fix this?

I checked the lenses for stuck aperture (not the case and also impossible to have the exact same black spot on both.

I currently have a fresh roll in the camera because I hadn’t seen these yet, so I can’t easily test the camera.

I shot at different speeds, apertures, in different conditions, etc.

That should be enough info…
