It’s not an obvious pairing I’d think of right off, but it seems pretty solid overall.

Potential main tank with nice utility.

-Early ultimate weapon if you want to grind for it
-Full Time/Green magic utility
-All 4 breaks naturally
-3 Swiftness naturally
-2 Remedy Lores
-Potentially 3 Ether Lores
-Cura/Raise from Adrammelech for emergency or off heals
-Ranged weapons if needed (crossbows/hand bombs)

It seems very tempting to try.

Was planning a run with job combinations that feel somewhat close to the natural progression for Revenant Wings and ended with the following:

Basch - Knight/Bushi (his ultimate weapon is Excalibur and he wears heavy armor)

Ashe - Time Battlemage/Foebreaker (her main weapon is bombs, she is a Time Mage and still allows her to use Swords like seeing in many FFXII artwork)

Fran - Archer/Black Mage (Bow is her main weapon and she applies debuffs)

Penelo - White Mage/Monk (Monk feels the closest to Dancer, but she is mostly a healer)

Balthier - Machinist/Uhlan (he is mostly a machinist but Uhlan fits on his Imperial background as many have stated before)

Vaan - Shikari/Red Battlemage (Shikari feels the closest to Thief, and Red Battlemage gives him a bit of that Jack-of-all-trades vibe and has Steal).

I'm not sure how effective this would be for the endgame challenges though, so if anyone has any opinions or comments, let me know. (Besides the obvious/usual ones like Stats Growth or Attack Speed animation).

Obviously I can do whatever I want with my own run, im just curious how others would see things. So like what's everyone's opinion about dispelling enemy buffs and buffing my summons in a "Summons Only" run, Even though all the damage will be coming from the summons

Ever since the new security updates, my game keeps crashing after awhile. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I've tweaked around with the security settings. It seems to help for a bit, but then a few days later crashes again. I've had a few back-to-back updates, which seem to be resetting some settings.

I'm replaying DA:O right now and the battle system reminds me so much of 12, personally I enjoy the Dragon Age combat more, but what does the rest of the community think?

the one in the henne mines depths im unsure if its in the zodiac ver? ive been to about 13 times and havent seen it yet. i know theres so many differences in the versions and i didnt want to keep trying for it 100 times if its not even there in zodiac version cus eventually i may get sent to the looney bin only uttering the word ribbon

I have never ran the combo before, and it’s very mixed on reception. Typically leaning towards dislike.

I went into it thinking I’d likely hate it, squishy HP, MP distress, etc.

But I’ve actually enjoyed it thus far. For reference, it’s on Ashe. Crossbows for weapons, Mystic Armor for head, and Heavy Armor for body. Sage’s Ring typically, but occasionally Opal Ring if I know Reflect is in play.

Other party members are Basch (Foebreaker/Shikari) and Vaan (Knight/Black). I let Basch handle Protectga/Shellga. Vaan is doing good with the random off heals and Bravery/Faith buffs if needed.

I’m just a bit surprised, like the title says. I really thought I’d hate it, but color me surprised.

I'm playing this game for the second time (I didn't finish it last time) and am really struggling with choice as I keep changing classes because I feel I'm making bad decisions can someone give me advice on my team (I wanted balthier on mechanist and Fran on archer because I feel like they are supposed to use those weapons)

I might be beating a dead horse with this, or on the wrong side of history, but hey.

I played the heck out of the original FFXII on PS2 forever ago and finally got my hands on Zodiac Age. The remaster is so tastefully done, everything looks so good without changing the aesthetics, the remastered soundtrack is gorgeous (though kind of funny how it sounds under the compressed the dialogue audio), and as someone who spent an embarrassing amount of hours farming in the original, I LOVE the quality of life improvements with the speed feature.

This might be a lame take but I miss the old license system. I wish there was an option to use the legacy version. It's not that the challenge bothers me but i like speccing the characters around their lore to be consistent with the cutscenes and it bums me out that you have to focus them all on a singular class. Like Fran for instance -- in my mind she's a badass spellcaster but i still want her to be able to rock the warrior archer vibe.

Idk, I wish folks could learn a few low level spells and all that without having to specialize in spellcasting. And I'd love for Penelo to have some low- level healing spells without having to relegate her to white mage.

Quick question, how do i unlock those spaces?

I bought this game on switch a while ago and I find it way too hard. Gambit system is useless as nobody in my party uses it, esp for heals.

It feels like I need an infinite amount of potions to stay healed up and the licensing system is just plain terrible. Sucks that I can’t get a white mage until I get Penelope. By that time, it’s too late and I’m stuck and need to start all over.

Maybe I was rushing through the story, but without a white mage, it felt that needed to do this to get Penelope back.

Any tips would be great, esp on what license to use on each player.

Just beat Belias, really enjoying the game a lot more than I expected, I didnt expect to enjoy the automated combat as much as i do, and i see why it kinda needed to be

The gambit system and license board is pretty satisfying to go through

The job system is really interesting compared to Tactics, 5 and 10

Any Tips or Tricks for a 1st playthrough?

I guess my old days of playing Mortal Kombat and Tekken paid off. Still, it was a nerve-wrecking experience and seemed hopeless at first. Once I got Upstream down, the others were doable as well. Den of the River Lord seemed so daunting at first that I didn't play for days but it's really the same thing over and over again.

i read you need 10 to go deeper in henne mines and that theres 13 in the game. i have 8 about to go to giruvegan but i noticed in the license board where it shows espers theres only 9 slots? so only 9 are usuable i assume?

First time I played it as a kid I ended up using an afk grinding method lazy gambits and looking up certain stuff vanilla ps2

It was fun but I do the same shhhh on the rare occasion I play fire emblem I’m not really sure what I do to get to the arena but I have a tendency to use save states or cheese but whenever the arena is available I end up abusing it to over level but it’s kinda boring

I play a free to play strategy PvP game that takes time and good decisions and rng and u can spend money for an advantage on it but it won’t wjn u games and I’m really freaking good at it but I don’t play much and I have stats that are lacking cause I get tired easily

But I need to re play this stuff but in a less cheese or cheat code like way and still enjoy the gameplay and story

What do u guys recommend and how do you have fun with it what’s ur favorite classes and characters and have u played the struggle for freedom I think I have it downloaded but it’s on my backlog

Classes so vanilla is gone mods are accepted

Challenging but minimal grind also following the rules like if it lets u dual class and it’s op then that’s not as challenging

I want a fun challenging class based experience also no guides no afk grinding minimal external help
