What Do You Actually Want From Pyro Apparel?
I’ve been around fireworks and working in the field for over 30 years. For the past year, I’ve also been building a pyro lifestyle brand specifically for the pyro community.
Part of the reason I started is that, in my personal opinion, much of the pyro apparel currently available just isn’t something I would ever wear.
A lot of it seems to be the same “If I run, try to keep up” type of sayings, crude jokes you probably wouldn’t wear in front of your mother or designs that don’t make much sense even to us in the pyro community.
There’s nothing wrong with that style if it’s what you enjoy, but I believe there’s room for something different, quality pyro apparel that represents the culture, crews, families and us behind the shows, something we would feel comfortable wearing both in the field and around town.
Before everything goes live, I’d like some honest input from the people who actually live the pyro life.
When you’re working in the field, what matters most in a shirt or hat? Comfort, breathable material, darker colors, durability, identifying your role on the crew or something else?
Away from the field, what kind of pyro apparel would you actually wear around town, out to dinner or on a normal day out in the garage? Do you prefer something bold that clearly represents fireworks or a cleaner design that only other pyro people would immediately recognize?
This isn’t a sales post. I’m genuinely interested in what the community wants and what you’re tired of seeing in typical fireworks apparel.
What would make you actually wear it regularly, both in the field and away from it?
