If you cant even do the most basic of basic algebra, then yeah programming will be difficult, but mannn how do people think this

i had professors tell me this, someone even said I needed good CHEMISTRY knowledge. so yeah very first week coder humor but because everyone has been telling them the same thing

I’m far from a first week coder, but the math that my coworkers do (strats/quants) is far beyond me. Trying to review their code is kind of like this meme.

I do a lot of time-series analysis in Python at work but I delegate all of that to numpy/pandas lol

The programm shall do the maths. Like just having a testing programm and trying out how I need to align the numbers because its simpler than calculating it myself.

But you probably should understand the expressions, even if not solving them
