Oh cool, an event only well-off people will attend and inconveniences a ton of locals and visitors. Totally makes sense. Btw it's $350 a person.

The only benefit to the people is there will be a drone show everyone can watch.

I get the annoying part & elitism here, but curious if it's similar to the tower bridge event in downtown Sac, with top chefs in the area, etc.

Always thought that looked super fun tbh.

The Folsom bridge dinner will be donating a portion of their proceeds to Twin Lakes Food Bank.

The Tower Bridge Dinner will have its proceeds divided between paying for the Terra Madre festival next year (free admission) and CAMP students at Sac State who are children of migrant farmers.

Checked out the page - looks like the head chefs are the folks at Nixtaco, Scott's Seafood, and Vacanza Romana. So not like....The Kitchen or anything, but I'd imagine the menu should be pretty great.

Don’t forget it’s also required that you buy two tickets so $700 total.

The same people arguing that we shouldn't close Sutter Street to vehicle traffic because of its impact on parking and traffic are closing down one of the main roads in and out of town to host a soiree at $350/pop.
