Purchased this earlier today from Walmart, but when I started making dinner I got it out of the fridge and noticed the light plastic packaging is bulging out so hard I can’t even really push it down or squish it. The bottom of it has these weird little bubbles which I haven’t seen before. (though admittedly I don’t eat hummus often.) is this safe to eat, or is this some sort of bacteria build up?

I've never seen a watermelon with a rind like this before, and as you can see on the chopping board it let out a ton of juice when I cut into it, and it was really difficult to cut into. is it still okay to eat?

The sell by date is today, it’s been in my fridge for 3 days. These white marks definitely weren’t there when I bought it. Is it still safe to eat? I’ll probably toss it to be on the safe side but I’ve never seen anything like this.

The raw tuna which is put in poke bowls is kept out in the open in metal bins, like they do in subway for the meats (see link below for subway pic, but imagine one of the metal containers being filed with raw tuna cubes).

How is keeping raw tuna out in the open like this all day safe?

The bottom of my stainless steel pan burnt up because I wasn’t paying attention. The broccoli definitely has a little burnt taste to it, but has no char or anything being that it was steamed.

Okay so I’m very much a beginner when it comes to making coffee at home lol.
I usually have iced coffee maybe 3–4 times a week, and I recently bought a bottle of white chocolate sauce because I thought it would be nice to add to my coffee. It was honestly a bit of an expensive purchase for me, so I was really hoping it would last me a while.
Bottle say it lasts only 4 weeks after opening 😭
There is absolutely no way I’m going to finish the bottle by then. I probably won’t even get through half of it.
Is there any way I can make it last longer? Can I freeze it somehow, like in ice cube trays and then just take out a cube whenever I want to make coffee? Or would that completely ruin the texture/taste?
I’d really appreciate any tried-and-tested tips because I genuinely don’t want to throw most of the bottle away after spending that much on it 🥲

Chicken purchased yesterday, and the discolored piece was hidden by the label, so I didn’t see it until I opened it up. I cooked about half the chicken in the package for meal prep but now I’m wondering if whatever is causing the discoloration could be some sort of bacteria that would make what I cooked unsafe to eat.

Does anyone know what is causing it? Is it safe to eat? And if not, is the rest of the package possibly contaminated too?

I got a bag of coffee beans from a local roaster and there’s a few that look like this. I bought them about a week and a half ago. Is this a normal discoloration or is it something like mold? The rest looks normal, but have a very strong smell of coffee. I took them out but is the rest of the bag okay to use? Thank you so much!

I found this cardboard looking piece in my soup.

I just made a bowl of porridge and it tasted slightly odd but didn’t think much of it until the last mouthful which was extremely bitter. I don’t cook my porridge I just have the oats raw. I’ve had the bag for maybe a week or two and it’s been sat open in my cupboard. Is this something to worry about? Should I throw them away?

hi i had a comte cheese that someone gave me for free it expired in aug 12, it had 2 white or gray spots that i could easily remove been stored in the fridge on coldest setting.

the smell was very all i can describe it as is it reminded me of an outhouse

the taste was very gray very much like blue cheese

then i had a assau asserty and this cheese had similar characteristics but the taste was more ok and it was even more ok melted but nothing i liked, both cheeses had an aftertaste of what reminds me of expired chocolate.

both cheeses had that bluecheese like profile but the comte vas more intense it did not smell good to me and it did not taste good to me it tasted very little and reminded me a lot of moldy cheese or bluecheese, i love cheese like gouda etc and according to ai if i do then that means i would have loved comte too.

in short i did not like the comte but i don't know if it was because it was bad or because i simply didn't like it

First time that I have this variety. The other types only had the white “flour” on the outside.

Just opened, expiry date is November 2026. Smells spicy.

Before anyone gets on me, I don't ever buy precut celery and haven't seen this before. It doesn't smell, isn't soft and isn't slimy. So, do I just cut this off and use it? Or is tossing it the way to go.
