Long shot: Lost a Chinon 35mm camera and roll of film in 1996 (New Orleans Jazz Fest or Memphis in May)

I know this is a massive long shot and happened decades ago, but I am looking for a lost personal item that means a lot to me. Back in 1996, I lost a Chinon 35mm camera (just like the one in the photo), with an exposed roll of (FUJI?) film still inside it.

It was lost somewhere outside the grounds either during the New Orleans Jazz Fest (late April/early May 1996) or at Memphis in May that same year.

If anyone happened to pick up an old Chinon camera back then, or if it ended up in a box of vintage gear, a thrift shop, a pawn shop, or an archive pile, please let me know. The camera itself isn't worth much today, but the undeveloped roll of film inside holds irreplaceable memories from that time of my life. Many of my friends and loved ones on that film are long gone, too. Maybe, by some miracle, you can help me find these film memories?

Thank you!

I inherited these box of photos and negatives from my dad. His friend served in WWII and he had these. Thoughts as I have had these for over 20 yrs. There are way to many pictures to post them all.

Why do old photographs feel warmer than modern ones?

even photos from random families i don't know somehow feel comforting? the colors, the grain, the clothes, the cars. they all tell stories and idk, everything just feels slower...

is it just nostalgia or is there actually something different about older film?

I'm trying to find if there are any copies of an early 1970's film done. by herb de grasse from san francisco. "The Angry God", but any Herb De Grasse film points would be helpful. Thanks.

Found these film slides at a flea market, apparently published by a company called Famous and shot by Peter Aitchson. I wonder if any of these were ever published.

I also found a bunch of Will Smith photos from an awards show in the same collection for some reason so if anyone wants to see them, let me know!

Chattanooga Choo Choo, 1984

I can find documentation of this movie in all the usual spots. There's posters for sale on eBay. But I cannot, for the life of me, find an actual copy or a way to stream it!

George Kennedy plays Burt Waters, a sleazy coattail rider who owns a failing football team. His father in law is a railroad tycoon who despises him.

The father in law leaves a clause in his will that if Burt can restore his favorite train and make one trip that holds to its original schedule, he gets a million dollars. Hilarity ensues.

But WHERE?! Where can my aging family recapture this hilarity?!
