Hi everyone! We’re a group of 4 guys looking for a good and affordable deep sea or offshore fishing charter for Saturday in FLLL, Pompano or nearby areas. If anyone has any recommendations or has had a good experience with one, please share the details. Thanks!

Deep House Warehouse Parties

Imagine there’s a few of us or a lot of us that don’t wanna make the trip down to Miami for a night out with deep House music and great vibes in a warehouse of some sorts. I see a lot of these warehouses around Fort Lauderdale around 95 and then even in Flagler Village, these would be perfect locations to throw a party. .Anyone else here think of the same can we put something on? I imagine there’s a lot of people in Fort Lauderdale that fit this vibe and would love to see this thing come to fruition.. hell we could even include some cold plunges and sauna sessions during the event.

South Middle River Area

I'm looking at property in this neighborhood and would like to know how safe it is at night.

I found a 3 year old discussion that mentioned this area a few times saying that it was gentrifying and already quiet, but also that Lauderhill Manors just West across Powerline was pretty bad.

I'm recently separated, will have split custody of my middle school and older children, have a dog that I usually walk, and usually prefer running for exercise at night. Is there anything I should be concerned about?

What is the flooding like in this neighborhood? I lived out West so only know that older neighborhoods generally tend to flood, and the downtown area a few years ago suffered some really bad flooding.

Remote Jobs

I’m 24 and recently have experienced a series of unfortunate events. I have no car anymore and need work. I’m in the Weston area - Any real remote jobs? They all seem to be scams.. or just jobs in general but I have no vehicle! This is the hardest time of my life.

Can’t believe the city gave this company a permit to do this. They are everywhere and now they are moving like 10 mph on sidewalks. They arnt even reliable to use and the plan is to take away jobs from delivery people. They need to be banned. Gotta wonder how these contracts are getting through..

Sales Roles

Hey everyone! 25yr old male. I will be permanently living in Fort Lauderdale by the end of September and figured I’d put some feelers out here to see what opportunities are around.
I’m currently working in field sales and really thrive in positions where I’m meeting people face-to-face. I enjoy talking to people, building relationships, networking, and meeting potential clients in person rather than being stuck behind a desk all day. I’m confident, personable, and comfortable talking to pretty much anyone.
I also take a lot of pride in how I present myself. I’m big on looking put-together, being respectful, professional, and representing myself and the company I work for the right way.
I’ve found many mixed reviews on different sales roles so I’m looking for honest feedback with realistic earning potential.
I’ve already spent time in Fort Lauderdale, met a lot of great people, and really enjoyed the area. I have family down there as well, so I’m not moving completely blind and already have some connections to build off of. I’m pretty good at networking and meeting new people, which is something I think will translate well to working in the area.
I’m open to full-time sales opportunities, but I’m also open to part-time, appointment-setting, or appointment-only roles if it’s the right opportunity. Definitely interested in sales, business development, client-facing positions, or anything where being outgoing and good with people is valuable.
If anyone knows of a company hiring, has a lead, or knows someone I should talk to, feel free to DM

Going to Fort Lauderdale for the 1st time - any suggestions?

I’m spending Thanksgiving weekend in Fort Lauderdale with my friends and their family. We’re staying at a nice place right by Barrier Island. We’re in our 30s and pretty active and open to anything, but we love outdoor activities, lounging at the beach, barhopping, and also love unique restaurants.

I’ve never been to Florida before, so I’m very excited (especially since that’s around when GTA6 comes out). I’ve already been doing some research on what to do in Fort Lauderdale, and here’s what I have so far…

Things to Do

  • Hang out at the beach
  • Everglades National Park
  • Water Taxi Hop-On Hop-Off
  • Raccoon Island (kayak there)

Restaurants

  • Breakfast
    • Tinta
  • Dinner
    • Eatapas
  • Bars
    • Wreck Bar
    • Invasive Species Brewing + Distilling
    • LauderAle Brewery
    • Apothecary 330
    • Nubé Rooftop

Any other things to add to the list above? Thanks!

Sketchbook/ artists club in fort Lauderdale

I was trying to to find art clubs, a lot of the art scene is hard to find for me relating to painting, sketching, creating your own artwork, and if there is, it’s never in my age group

at this point I want to make like a monthly meetup sketchbook club, where we can meet at a coffee shop and sketch or draw. issue is Ive never hosted an event and don’t know how

is there any clubs related to art? or anything similar out there.

Restaurant Recommendations

Hi. Going to spend a week at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort week of Labor Day. What are some good picks for restaurants nearby. I decided to ditch the rental car this time around so in walking distance would be appreciated.

Edit: My anniversary is on September 10. Any recommendations for a special dinner?

Legal fishing beach spots?

I live in Fort Lauderdale and I’m looking to get into saltwater fishing, but I don’t know if I can just go to Fort Lauderdale Beach and set my rod with my girlfriend or if there are specific beaches that allow you to fish, for example, like I said Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood Beach. I basically just want to be able to go to any beach and just cast and just stay there with my girlfriend and relax. Can I do that or does it have to be a specific beach that I can go to or a specific spot on the beach? Also no piers I hate piers.

ISO a Realtor

Hi there! I've decided to move after my lease is over the first week of November. The goal is leave Coconut Creek and move closer to the beach (considering Pompano down to Fort Lauderdale)

I know its may be a bit early, but I'm really hoping to find the place I'll live in for the next few years at least. Looking for a realtor who doesn't mind working with renters rather than buyers. Didn't have a good experience with my last realtor - she asked me to pay her a fee in order to view places together which I thought seemed odd.

Venues to DJ House Music at?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been DJing house/techno for 4-5 years now, and it’s something I’m passionate about. Despite being pretty social and talkative, it’s been tough finding a venue that would let me play those genres.

I know Nowhere Lounge has nights that allow new DJs to play there, but Ive been told they typically require you to bring some people with you. I’m somewhat new to Fort Lauderdale and the friends that I met down here aren’t as into the house music scene. I’m not too active on social media, but I’ve posted mixes that get around 100-150 plays on average.

Are there any spots that are looking for some house DJs? I’m not really in it for the money, I just love to help people dance and have a good time. Thanks!

Port Everglades

Hi all. I have to drop someone off tomorrow and it’ll be my first time going to the port. I plan to park next to the terminal. The persons scheduled arrival time for the ship is 1pm. I’ve read security lines and traffic are horrible. I’ve also read not to try and get there early before scheduled arrival time. I’m wondering how much extra time beyond travel time I might need taking into account security and parking. Arrival time for the ship is 1pm.

Also wondering which if any is the easiest entrance? I won’t be taking any highways. Was thinking of the 17th street entrance but would love to choose the easiest one. Thanks for any advice.
