PrivacyCam is an open-source app for protecting sensitive information in photos, videos, and PDFs before sharing them.

It can detect faces, people, vehicle number plates, QR codes, barcodes, contact details, addresses, payment-card information, and other readable text. Users can blur, pixelate, black out, add stickers, or manually cover sensitive areas.

It also supports moving masks in videos, frame-by-frame corrections, PDF redaction, and removal of location metadata from exported files.

Media processing happens locally. No account is required, and files aren’t uploaded to a server operated by the developer. The application source is licensed under Apache 2.0 and includes instructions for building the Android and iOS versions.

Prebuilt versions can also be downloaded from Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
