Tree Frog I saw this tree frog on my pumpkin leaf in the hot sun

Post image

I never see them in the day, especially not sitting in the hot sun.

I usually leave nature alone but it’s been dry and this is where the sprinkler sprays for the pumpkins anyway. So I turned it on gently and it’s well water if that matters. The frog seemed to flatten out absorbing the water.

Can a frog do this next part on purpose?:
I came back and saw the frog had moved in a way that plugged that hole where the leaf connects to the stem, so more water started pooling up around its body.

Coincidence? It looked damn pleased with itself.

So I recently got a tree frog and I was wondering if I need anything for the set up or anything I have fruit flies. I miss them and I have a green tree frog. I wonder it’s a baby. I got their own little cage for now. We haven’t set it up on a table because we’re trying to get rid of an old cage that we had for crushed gecko which we now have a new cage for them so if you have any recommendations for this Greentree frog baby, I would love that also their name is lost and found

Art I’m making my first game about a frog popping bubbles, inspired by the old Flash game Bubble Trouble

I played a lot of Bubble Trouble when I was younger and wanted to try making my own take on it. At some point I realized a frog’s tongue would work pretty well as the harpoon.

This is my first game, so I’ve mostly been figuring things out as I go. The big bubbles split into smaller, faster ones, and you can catch bugs that give the frog different powers.

I’m calling it FrogPop. Right now the frog mostly hops around and uses its tongue. What other frog stuff would be fun to put in the game?

NW Florida. They seem to be growing in number. Do they eat caterpillars? I’m growing the passiflora for the Gulf fritillary butterfly migration, some eggs hatched recently but I can’t find the caterpillars.

FROGGYS WORLD is my new obsession 😭💚 it’s a game i discovered while I was checking the weather on google a few weeks ago. A lil green triangle popped up next to the button so I pressed it and BOOM - FROGGYS WORLD appeared!!!! It’s such a sweet game, kinda like animal crossing but the star is this frog. I’m having fun decorating my island and exploring the seasons!

Tree Frog Purple?

Red eyed tree frog juvenile.

This is the 3rd night with my two new red eyed tree frogs. I have never cared for a tree frog before only dart frogs.

The first night the guys didn't wander too much mostly slept on leafs. The next night they started exploring. And this night one turned purple? He gradually got darker as the night went on I noticed. I googled and it said could be a night time coloration which would be very cool.

I just want to get a humans perspective though.

The photos are in order of darkest to lightest (night to day).

The temp during the day it 74-80°F with 68-75% humidity

And at night tonight it's at 72°f with 86% humidity

(30 min after misting).

Edit: an hour later he got even DARKER like a dark purple. I'll see if he's green in the morning.

Did I kill my neighbor Frog 😭

This little guy has been visiting me for almost 3 weeks now and I’ve come to enjoy him so much but I was trying to put some raid for ants and roaches on my porch and I didn’t see him and I just straight up sprayed the poor guy I feel like an absolute monster.

I immediately picked him up and I really was panicking so I put him in a bowl of fish tank water because it wasn’t coordinated and just like shook him a few times and then put him on the pavement and he disappeared and like ran off by himself, but did I kill him? What are the odds I killed him goddamnit. It was an absolute accident 😭

red leg?

hi guys. let me start by saying i have no photos bc my frog is insane and doesnt stay still. he also doesnt like being held 😭

i have 4 whites tree frogs. one of them, a little after i got them, developed a pinkish belly and a darker pink leg than my other ones. i got all 4 of them together when they were babies and have had them since april.

he is very active, eats, croaks, normal frog behavior. im just worried bc he's pinker than everyone else. all other frogs are a normal pink and eating and active. could it be red leg...? i'm just worried bc his pink is darker and more prominent. their tank stays clean and i have a strong clean up crew. they get a tank deep clean once a month and get fresh treated water every night.

I was about to clean out their bowl, and this little guy was in there. I am unsure what kind of frog this is and It is possible it could be an invasive Cuban Tree Frog. If that’s the case i will keep him. I live in Clearwater FL

I think he's a juvenile eastern gray tree frog or Cope's gray tree frog. I sat him down in a moist part of my backyard near a tree and he hopped from there into my neighbor's back yard.

Don’t worry I’m holding him very gently, I’m not sure you can tell that from the video but I was very carful with him, anyway I’m pretty sure he is either an American toad or a Woodhouse toad, either way he is a cute tiny boi, thanks ahead of time
