Just something I'm thinking about as we likely get the last few characters TPed over the coming months: is there a chance we never get a new TP skill after this year? It started off as an alternative to T3, and early updates would give single characters a TP, often having characters show up in the skill that would not get the TP themselves (such as Yelena having Black Widow in her skill depite Black Widow having a T3). But after a year, it seemingly became a way to avoid making a unique cinematic skill for over 200 characters (not judging this decision, just stating what seems to be the case). Characters would get bundled into duos or trios without any other upgrades, and they would all get essentially the same skill during the same update. It seemed to become the main avenue for quickly getting every character past T2 without needing to spend too much time on less popular characters. While it was still given to new characters who could be grouped with existing T2s, it also became something granted to three existing characters that had nothing to do with the update, just to get them across the finish line.
But in the game as it stands, where we don't get too many new characters, let alone two at a time, is there even a place for a brand new character getting a TP? The last one we got was Venus/Athena almost a year ago, which was a unique case since five new characters were added to the game for the first time in a while. Before that, the last new character with a TP was Kahhori in December 2023, and the only reason she was able to get that is there were still T2 characters to combine into a skill. In the next few months we're likely going to run out of those (only five T2s left), so the question remains as to whether TP will essentially be retired. During Epic Quests we tend to get multiple characters, so it's possible it would come back for some of those, but if that's the only avenue where it happens, does it really make sense to dust off a skill type we only see every year or two? If they want to give it to new characters, they could go back to putting characters in the skill that don't have a TP themselves. But it's also possible that they just commit to making every new character T3, especially given that most new characters are premium at this point.
