She came to FGO revenue like a hurricane.

You mean the power of Lord Logres and New Years red envelop lol.

Logres banner made more money (double gssr as well iirc) but both banners only peaked at #2.

Monster Strike blocked fgo new year from #1 this time as well as last year.

She strong, but I never seen a flood of fanart for her. Omii-san on the other hand...

TBF, Lord Logress is still just more Arturia. Kinda hard to get flood of fanarts when its more of the same

FGO revenue went up by $5 million but yet dropped a spot. That's something you don't see often. The increase alone would be 33rd.

She so damn good that even as a 4 star she sold a lot.

And people keep forgetting the power of Ishida Akira's "Old Man". Even the guys want him.

how isfgo still at the top? too much grinding compared to the others IMO. or have they added auto battle as a QoL feature now?

Nope. FGO succeeds because it made people attached to the characters and story, so the whales pay because they want the character. It didn't need obscene powercreep to obsolete all your old units and force you to roll for new ones, it just needed to make people want new characters with its writing. I still see new players joining it pretty regularly, too.

But that same artistic vision is also why it'll never let you skip the actual game part of the game. Hell, it'll never even less you skip Noble Phantasm animations. It's just a completely different philosophy than most gacha. But it also makes more money than Zenless Zone Zero on probably less than a tenth of its budget, so maybe "have an artistic vision from a talented writing team that you actually stick to" is something more gacha games should actually consider.

I feel like that last point is something a lot of other gacha struggle to have, because it require both patience and proper care to your franchise, something FGO have in spade. Most of those gacha with the same vision in mind doesn’t exist as long yet, so they still stuck at the bottom of the barrel.

To be fair, not every gacha game has Nasu Kinoko in their backpocket.

Sure, but there's lots of writers out there that'd work for a lot less budget than games put into trying to have the fanciest graphics.

Reverse 1999 carved out a niche for itself with its writing and beautiful artistic presentation rather than trying to be the most technically-advanced game on the market too.

I mean you know you have dedicated fans when the vast majority wants to kill the damn mushroom

A single good servant banner (or 2, I guess), previously NPC now made into a servant.

And FGO have lots of those. The NPC jail just keeps getting more crowded, especially when Guda2 rolls around.
