Slow month for FGO, Limbus didn't drop as much as I thought it would but Rien Sang was very good bait.

Limbus is surprising to be anywhere here since it is mostly a PC game. It did good either way, almost beating the month where people renew their season pass with just Riensang alone.

Here's the numbers btw

21

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

Not really, the director said the split was around 50-50. I'm just surprised that Rien Sang did that well even accounting for how good he is but he did place in the top 10 when he released.

I mean I mostly play on mobile but if I were to make a purchase I'd hop on PC, since steam prices are like 30% cheaper than google store for me

4

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

Never underestimate the power of sheer laziness, you usually only see a lop-sided PC to mobile ratio when the game is borderline unplayable on mobile.

I'm still surprised it's 50/50 because my phone heats up like a nuclear reactor when playing, not even a hoyo game generates this much heat

3

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

Same here, mobile was truly rubbish back then.

4

u/aiheng1 Limbus Company Mar 01 '26

I mean it still heats up like an atom bomb. It just doesn't crash now

1

u/Taelyesin Mar 02 '26

That's a good improvement.

It shouldn’t be a surprise given that he’s the closest we’re getting to a Roland ID for several years at least

3

u/LordBreadcat Mar 02 '26

Just started Limbus and immediately swiped for this alone lol. I don't know his deal other than him having something to do with the religious nutsos in the Index but couldn't resist the temptation of dropping Furioso on trash mobs.

Figuring out why there's a Roland cosplayer is currently one of my driving motivations to push through.

2

u/Taelyesin Mar 02 '26

In my opinion he also ended up being a really good character in spite of being essentially Temu Roland.

It’s not because it’s a PC game. It’s literally free characters. Everyone could have gotten Rien Sang if they waited 7 days to shard him knowing walpurgis is around the corner but everyone fucking failed. Including me.

I do leave enough pulls every season to impulse pull outside of walpurgis once or twice though. Although that is likely gone now since devs announce they will run Walpurgis more often.

u/kelgorathfan8 Mar 02 '26

I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of that was people buying the battle pass a bit late after beating the canto proper, thus cashing in the shard crates for Rien sang

I'm not surprised for FGO, the only servant we got this month is Demeter and Valentine event are more just looking at all the new chocolates we got this year than everything else

7

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

I agree, there's just nothing much to say either about the event or the new Servant.

1

u/MyLovelyForm Mar 07 '26

What characters can you even get in FGO btw? You get same character but on different role/name etc? I swear I see same characters when I see a FGO gameplay screen and game is out for years.

Did FGO even HAVE anything this month…?

23

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

Yes, Demeter and a very short Valentine's event. We also had Lord Logres and the GSSR backing up FGO JP last month.

11

u/Masked020202 Mar 01 '26

I have a feeling people are kind of saving for the next collab event. I know i am.

16

u/ArchusKanzaki Mar 01 '26

Yeah, it's back to the usual yearly cycle for FGO, now that they no longer run the "everyone getting rerun for Grand Duel" banners. February and March is always the slow month when everyone just kinda calming down and they rerun some Girls banner on February and Boys banner on March.

7

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

Oh right, it's almost certainly going to be SF next.

6

u/speakerofthestars Mar 01 '26

Won't be surprised if next month is slow too with White Day unless they pull off something crazy but it'll probably just be a costume for someone again.

Next walpipi prob won't do as well as QoD Don, queen bee and alrune are not as famous or popular as the magical girl.

13

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

I don't think we'll be seeing a QoD Don contender for a long while, but that's fine.

We could get red riding hooded mercenary and big and will be bad wolf for the next lob corp walpurgis that are notorious in my opinion for being annoying and is kinda the only abno to have a hate relationship to another abno but we will see

(Most agree Ishmael should get crimson scar)

2

u/Taelyesin Mar 02 '26

Looking forward to it! Guess Director has probably given up on faster Walpipis though, it doesn't seem great for his health.

Mega Ryoshu about to triple the revenue/j

4

u/Taelyesin Mar 01 '26

We'll see! I really don't know what to expect out of her ID based on what was said.

6

u/thesimp_184 Mar 01 '26

im pretty sure its meant to be shiomi,or at least something like kong lu,not muga

1

u/Particular_Web3215 Jenshin | Currency Wars | limbus Mar 01 '26

Renclair calls his master and ryoshu as separate individuals, but it's still up for speculation anyway

2

u/Rayyan_3241 Genshin/Wuwa/HSR Mar 01 '26

how much did QoD make?

3

u/Charibdysss Mar 01 '26

4-5 mil iirc

u/emc391 Mar 01 '26

Bro did you even see how many people were (rightfully) thirsting over sinclair ? Most people will prob be pulling for his ego (and also his he slot is weak as shit so it makes sense to pull for him past the "damn he looks so cool" factor) and since they are on average rarer then ids pm might still make a lot of money this walp
