Looks to be a 2d auto battler type game (e.g. Priconne, Blue Archive) with multiple waves of enemies.

Release date still not known, but it will likely tie it into the anime that is gonna be released in January next year (2027).

This reminds me of those tons of AFK or IDLE RPG that litter the playstore. Feels like theres a new one every 2 weeks.

Apparently it's actually vampire survivors but with party members that follow you. Which is probably at least somewhat more interesting.

if executed well like holocure, it can secure a decent loyal playerbase.

this is actually the kind of game i'm interested in but for some reason they all have the most basic systems possible with 0 room for player strategy. i guess not every game can have as much depth as backpack battles, but they just need to make something a little bit more interesting.

also chibi models for some reason... just why...

More like another generic "waifu collector" idle RPG.

It's not actually completely auto-battler like Priconne or BA, you can actually control a character and the rest of your party follows you/does their thing, kind of like Vampire Survivors.

You can customise how your character looks through drops from quests etc, just like how you can kit-bash their kits irl. And there's some aspect of stat gear grinding for more customizations. Also looks like there's some kind of affection system like BA and the likes.

It's not some revolutionary game or anything but I think it could be a nice side game, especially for people who have bought their plastic model kits and/or likes the characters. Could also be a nice entry point for people looking to get into Arcanadea kits.

eh it doesnt need to be revolutionary

not every game needs to be like the next genshin or hi3 or whatever. theres a place for cute low maintenance games like this and i think folks have forgotten how most people (at least back then) used to play mobage lol, in bursts during their commute to and from work and such

Games that are not 3D open world seem to always get the same hate reactions, don't they?

Reminds me of some portion of gamers who shit on PC/console games that don't use realistic 3D graphic back in the 10s. People who can't fathom that games can target various market and AAA games aren't all that everyone wants to play. Idk if they still do that now.

Yeah, when indie games started appearing on the main platforms like Steam instead of just on the web browsers there was the exact same hate from both boomers("I was playing such games 20 years ago and I have enough") and normies(Why I should play this shit instead of GTA V?").

I guess it makes sense considering how fairly young is gacha market compared to mainline games, so history kinda repeating itself but damn. I wish it would repeat faster so more unique, lower-budget projects wouldn't get so much shit just for the virtue of existing while not being another big ass UE5 3D game, just like indie games nowodays.

Why lose sleep over a small vocal minority?

This comment section is hilarious considering most of them didn't even bother to watch 10 seconds of the video where it shows someone actually moving the character around.

The absolute irony of what is "slop" over here. Literally NPC comments.

yea, it's just the easy and cheap way of making gacha games and milk money. Chibi auto battle with hot waifus

i dont understand how these companies make money. is it just money laundering at this point.

You won't believe how many whales burning money because they're bored. Like really, not rich or anything, just bored.

For the low attention span. I get it though, full turn based "is too much" for players now

The most popular turn based gacha on the market is HSR and it's brain dead beyond belief, the fuck you mean "full turn based is too much" for players now.

u/RuinousFate CZN, Game Dev - Ruinous Fate 3d ago

And that's exactly why it works (well, aside from high animation and marketing budget). If its brain dead beyond belief, then the obvious next step is make it actually brain dead (Auto battlers).

Another auto battler.....

Dam this game would be ahead of its time in 2003

Looks pretty generic.

Anything with chibis like this is preferable imo. Looks cute and I'll probably check this one out 🧸

Still less shameless than all of the 3d open world clones

-2

u/emon121 3d ago

What a waste of good art

Look at this super cute artwork! Now look at this fuckass chibi auto battler where they don't even mesh well with the map they're standing on.

Why would i play this. Like even if it had some interactivity like Blue Archive. Atleast BA's map and chibi design mesh. So it works. But this?

This shit just looks like shit. I'm just callin it how i see it. Shit.

Oh no it's not an 3d openworld that third-worlders' phones can't handle

This is not 3D, just because the view angle is a bit slanted, it's still just moving along a 2D grid
