August was like collabs and a bit of SRobin for HSR?

Not too surprised by Odette seems like she is keeping in the 40 range.

Very surprised to see ZZZ above Wuwa.

Endfield is a good game but honestly it has retention issue, that game just cannot retain casual. I'll definitely come back to Endfield at one point though, the game is good but it is what it is.

Endfield has actually done a surprisingly good job at funneling people to the OG game

Sounds like a Nathan Fielder esque business plan, but you can't argue with its success.

I’m shocked at the number of people I’ve already seen that didn’t think ZZZ would get this high. Rem is still running plus Yuzuha & Dialyn? The money is printing itself at that point. Sigrid contributed obviously, but I don’t think to the same degree those two did if I’m being honest. As a Wuwa fan I’m not shocked at all it dropped again, a lot of people didn’t like 3.6 and therefore didn’t summon for Qing. I’ll be truly shocked though if 3.7 doesn’t do that well with Hsin coming.

I mean I am not shocked that ZZZ is high just that its above WuWa this month. I did hear some hearsay about some people not vibing with 3.6 but I thought it was a minority tbf.

HSIN will probably sell well though.

3.5 revenue was in July - Yang Yang phase 1 (~100% of her revenue), 4 days of Sui Sui (~50% of her revenue).

3.6 revenue was in August - rest of Sui Sui (~50%), 11 days of Qingxiao (~85% of her revenue).

Not much difference.

3.6 did just as well as 3.5 all things considered, since 3.5 had two skins to boost up the revenue, while 3.6 is clearly a filler patch with no new maps and few new events.

If you were expecting more from WuWa for 3.6, you're not really following the game. 3.6 wasn't intended to do better than average.

Again this isn't my point tho.

To me, the Wuxia stuff just dragged on too long. Jinran was a welcome reprieve, too bad he's yet another Fusion MDPS (meaning he's competing in role with the beloved daughter Aemeath) and is releasing right before Hsin

Wuwa 3.6 still doesn't address optimization issues on some mobile players. And the community is hostile towards those that voice out said concern.

23

u/MadDog1981 6h ago

I kind of think the community is an active hindrance to Wuwa at this point.

u/zenmoUi 4h ago

They literally rolled out a whole ass optimization patch though? Most posts are saying it's working great

•

u/MiddleFishArt 2h ago

In patchnotes they excluded mid end mobile devices (android <= 6gb ram and iphone 14 or lower), which were the ones that needed optimization the most. If anything 3.6 was another de-optimization patch; it stutters even more than 3.5.

As a mobile player I can appreciate that it’s finally coming. It improved for me on mobile with the new optimization, it’s not night and day but it’s noticeable. I know many don’t but I appreciate the slow drip of them releasing these updates and it makes sense. You drip little by little, get your feedback and keep working. Only some of the community is hostile, yet we’re all constantly grouped together because they’re such a loud majority. It’s annoying but it’s just gacha communities in general unfortunately.

Nah, Its definitely most of the playerbase on here. WuWas community made stop interacting with main community hubs for these games bro...probably the worst experience I've had with any community.

I really like the game but even still it's sad that you can't really communicate with most of the community without just walking of eggshells around them.

•

u/chuupa1289 3h ago

most ? some of the biggest upvoted and unanimous agreed posts on their subreddit and twitter historically are optimization complaints with everyone agreeing and continuing to voice their concerns

•

u/WoodenFreedom6909 3h ago

its crazy how these people keep saying "they don't care about optimization" when the game has already had some pretty significant optimization improvements. the file size alone was nearly cut in half, and the recent C# changes can make a noticeable especially for people with mid-range rig or weaker CPUs. even if the improvement isnt equally noticeable on every setup, it still lead to another step toward improving the game optimization.

and i think this is part of why the community is filled with negativity. people will doom over one "thing" every day, then once that "thing" gets fixed, they barely acknowledge it and immediately move on to doomposting about the next "thing", almost as if the previous "thing" never existed.

obviously, having remaining optimization issues is completely fair criticism. but theres a difference between saying "the game still has optimization problems" and saying "the devs doesnt adress the optimization issues" while repeatedly ignoring the improvements they have actually made.

a game that receives a major update every six weeks and constantly adds new maps, characters, assets, systems, etc. is going to be difficult to optimize perfectly. Optimization is an ongoing process, and some fixes can take a lot more time than simply adding new content.

at some point, if every improvement gets ignored and only the next problem gets treated as evidence that "they don't care/address" the community ends up creating a narrative where the developers can never actually do anything right.

For Wuwa ppl are waiting for Hsin. I’m actually surprised it made a respectable amount for Qingxiao, I guess all that marketing for her paid off

3

u/Katlan- 4h ago

Casuals don't like needing to rebuild a factory from scratch every patch all for 1-2 new ore locations. And yes there are blueprints but even then its tedious to destroy everything > rebuild > set new lines > check to make sure no problems, etc.

ZZZ has ramielle whose banner started 29th of last month and still running, spending event, guaranteed reruns and horsegirl(forgot her name). Wuwa had suisui along with aemeath rerun (banner started 30th last month) and qingxiao with denia rerun. It's no surprise ZZZ sold better

5

u/nickbigblack 6h ago

Honestly not at all surprised Wuwa is that low. Suisui banner got most of it's pulls before August started and Qingxiao is getting skipped cause the story is largely considered to not be that good and her gameplay pretty boring. Not to mention she's running the patch before the fox lady that's practically cast a spell on the whole fandom.

ZZZ is on their generational run lately

Altho some of it probably still from remi, sigrid definitely isn't doing that bad either, people love her

-1

u/Decent-Ad-2755 6h ago

After Wuwa did those greedy anni and collab their numbers going down

while ZZZ keeps going up because of their W anni and generosity, like free skin again next patch (for 3 agents)

10

u/Overall_Career1358 5h ago

Its the bi annual money printing for ZZZ, thing going to dip down tho to the usual 9-13 mil

•

u/Icyfrost35 1h ago

You're definitely coping lol. They're supposedly in a filler patch and historically, wuwa never made 20+ million in those. It has been a great run for wuwa these past few months.

Also, people won't admit it, but as a zzz player myself, it's not Sigrid who's selling well, it's still Remielle. The game's going to see a dip in revenue until the next void hunter comes around.

•

u/yourmanzstan 1h ago

Sigrid most definitely put up good numbers I’m sure but I do wonder how much she actually made on mobile 🤔 Rem, Dialyn and Yuzuha running a a guarantee? That’s summon line up if I’ve ever seen one?

10

u/laybron1120 6h ago

It literally shows both games numbers going down from last month while zzz still had some of the void hunter revenue this month and wuwa had some of suisui revenue

3

u/Any_Economics_6166 6h ago

wuwa revenues are pretty stable, +/- a few millions

1

u/Tired__Yeti 4h ago

First 5-6 days of Robin yes! Technically collabs + Himeko both dropped in July and Himeko lasted during almost the entire duration of August while the collab stays, but their own peak was likely in July. Overall, probably stable enough for the current state of the game.

Odette did well!

As for Endfield, it's not a bad game but it certainly has its own particular issues.

•

u/BetterHelp9474 41m ago

Fate collab was mostly July. This month is only SRobib.

1

u/Kagari1998 6h ago

ZZZ is actually gaining traction while Wuwa kinda stagnated recently as far as I heard.

ZZZ also kinda have to deal with their revenue trough every non void hunter banner from now on

•

u/Vradlock 2h ago

ZZZ released on steam like 2 months ago while WuWa was there for a year. Maybe it will help a bit.

Dunno who will be at the end of a year cashcow for WuWa but ZZZ already have theirs locked on. She got own cinematic half a year before release.

•

u/Bobson567 1h ago

It will be Hsin, releasing in 3.7 which drops 30 September

u/YuesaSR HSR x4 | Windmeet | Arknight | LOTM | Snowbreak | Browndust2 5h ago

that's whole sobin money, collab in hsr long term, no one top up for it anymore
