General Reminders
This revenue chart provides estimates for mobile platforms only, sourced directly from SensorTower. Revenue generated by the PC and Console versions of games, where applicable, are not included. As the Google Play Store does not exist in China, any estimates published in regards to China's Android revenue data are established using a multiplier based on the country's iOS revenue estimates. The chart published here is accurate as of the time of posting, but SensorTower may revise or adjust their estimates over the next few days. Numbers on the revenue.ennead.cc website may be subsequently updated to reflect those changes as necessary. Estimates do not take into account development costs or marketing expenses, and therefore do not directly translate to "profit" for the developers and/or publishers. While these estimates can be useful for gauging trends, they are not intended to be taken at face value as definitive revenue figures.

God I remember playing BattleCats with the “unlimited currency” apk and living the dream of being a giga leviathan, spending probably the equivalent of tens of thousands of dollars. I didn’t even understand the concept of a gacha back then. Good times. Probably not as easy to do it nowadays
Since Battle Cats has old fashioned transfer code save transfers it’s actually incredibly easy to cheat lol. benefit to being a singleplayer game is they dont have to care about that
This is mobile gacha revenue though, people will mostly likely play OG Arknights on mobile than pc, and Endfield on pc than mobile. But yea, still wild. Probably people was pushed away by the gacha mechanics?
I don't remember the source, but I'm sure I read that the majority plays on PC and consoles, the mobile experience is ass unless you have a very beefy and expensive tablet (which most people lack), in a normal phone is almost unplayable.
Whoa, that's a massive jump in revenue! I'd say due to anniversary, but didn't it happen the previous month...? Time is an illusion, I dunno anymore. 😂
For Infinity Nikki, the game runs badly in most phones. Plus, in my experience, it's cheaper to buy from the top-up website than phone (no Google Play, yay!), so most people probably do top-up from the website. But also, the previous patch was LONG, while the current patch gives free 100 pulls, so perhaps a lot of people spent in the beginning of the patch but not last month.
That is what we call "mobile bias" which you need to learn before understanding how to use this chart properly. For people who think Genshin made less overall money than FGO last month, I have a bridge to sell you.
Best part? They're still nerfing themselves. They brought HI3rd and ZZZ to Steam, which only boisters getting eyes on it and players in it. They still haven't brought Genshin there. Which basically means they don't think it's worth it yet. Genshin is making so much money and has a big enough playerbase they can afford to say no to Steam, at least for now.
Keep in mind several AAA studios tried to do so, and though a lot of them still have a mess where you have to be logged into both Steam AND their proprietary launcher, maybe even some other crap too, and can't play it if any of those are missing? They had to come back.
Seriously, what is happening with Enfield? I mean in social media it’s getting millions and millions of views, while here it’s getting 6 mil revenue? Even if we say 70% revenue comes from pc and console, the total would still be only 10 mil
After the super long single banner that was 1.2, I'd expect HG to at least shorten the patch length.
But here we are with another single banner 1 month patch which could causes another decline. Doesn't seem HG is concerned with the trend.
I mean global feels lukewarm about the game but how does CN feel about it? On their bilibili accounts its just people glazing them, doesn't seem like they have a lot of criticism for them.
Also unrelated but this just reminded me of something.
My brother was in Shanghai last month for a business trip and they just gave him a Endfield bag and some others stuff in it for just walking down the street, he threw it away on the way to the Hotel because he doesn't play anime games in general and they fucking gave him another one
If their marketing team is this aggressive half of the nation has to be playing it
Fgo sweep, also the gap between og Arknights and endfield is pretty concerning since the only thing Arknights had going on this month was bellone’s banner iirc 💀
I keep thinking back to how much sheer free content and story updates Genshin outputs on a consistent 6 week patch cycle vs... the dripfeed in between banners that LADS feeds you as a "here, damn"
LADS is basically Genshin's prime years but worse considering that it has no real competition & a starved fanbase, which is why it got a way with a lot of crap.
Genshin still has to compete with other waifu games + those who came after them. If you played since year 1, you'd notice that they actually start doing more drastic changes, for better or worse, when Natlan hit the servers.
His last myth did 19 mil by itself, two million more than the entire month of August. His myth this time pulled in about 4mil, the lowest of any myth in the history of the game.
To put LADS continued downfall into perspective: This month had the highly anticipated new myth pair featuring Rafayel who is the poster boy for the game in China. That event, BY ITSELF, should have easily pulled in more than 17mil. His last myth pair, Lumerian Sea God, alone made 22mil. This month also had a highly desired Sylus rerun, a new Caleb solo card, a bunch of new outfits, and the bimonthly reset of their battle pass featuring new cards of their two most popular love interests.
They are fully cooked. Don't mess with a girlie's husbandos.
They basically destroyed their own game and it’s kind of amazing to look at it, especially since they kind of did it to their other game as well. Like who is running this game studio and do they actively hate what they do?
Literally every one of their flagship games have had some kind of massive community backlash. This is the first time Infold is actually dealing with consequences though. The boycott has been fascinating to watch and participate in.
JP and KR too. JP players have been the only other server that stood with global from the start, and KR players started making noise on their side since they set up the Valko billboard in Seoul.
Of course they're getting consequences. LADS is their clear moneymaker and most likely funds their other games. If it goes down, then they're in trouble.
They do reinvest. You can actually see improvements in quality of everything in the game. It's just they reinvest not as much as we, players, really want.
CEO of Papergames wants to break into general audience(=male leaning mainstream) gaming landscape and all those juicy extra funds are funneled into games like 'Project: The Perceiver' and 'Ballad of Antara'. And since their mainline game is Nikki series, I'm pretty sure some funds are/were shared with Infinity Nikki.
LADS is basically a cashcow for the whole company and is left with breadcrumbs.
If they're smart, they'll announce Valko back before the first multi-banner. But this is Infold, and they're known for making some of the dumbest decisions.
all other gachas ahould be glad they dont have lads girlies cuz they know how to boycott and they dont fuck around. absolutely insane fumble by lads lol
Honestly, it was hilarious seeing CDGs rally to spend, only for them to not even get Vermillion Martial God up to 50% of Rafayel's previous myth. Who's the true "minority" now, lol.
Wow the only gacha I’ve seen where the fans successfully boycotted. I’ve seen so many hoyo fans complaining about GI & HSR yet they’re always on top every month
Probably a bit of both. But yeah, Remielle released on 29th July, so some people might have joined/returned to the game a few days later on August. The performance is very similar to YSG releasing at the end of December as well, without the 1+1 top up reset and free Zhao.
Not to mention the rerun guaranteed banner including Yuzuha and Dialyn, two of the most wanted supports.
Damn LADS really got damaged from that whole mess. It's making its way back up but it's fallen FAR. Good 5m start for Suikoden. With good numbers they'll definitely move forward with the global version.
Nope May scores lowest with less than 5 million when there was no new character for a whole month, but this time there was a new character and it does only slightly better so you can see the playerbase really has dropped ever since then.
Good to see the boycott still in affect for Love and Deepspace. At least we girls know how to keep a boycott going and it's not just for social media clout.
Genshin doing better than I expected for this banner, I wonder how Vesna and Vodyanitsa banners gonna do. Those 2 characters seems to have a lot of fans. Especially me since I pulled Odette just for Vesna.
Also happy seeing ZZZ are consistent with their earnings these past few months, I dont play the game but it seems like their community online seems to be enjoying their game more nowadays, good for them.
About Endfield, before PVP started, I went back and looked at previous monthly revenue charts, and realized that since March(1.1, TangTang banner), Endfield has never topped Arknights revenues in the chart since. And before you point out the 30-70 ratio of mobile to PC(and this is assuming this has somehow not changed, which is unlikely), Arknights mobile only revenue often beats the estimated total revenue of Endfield PC and Mobile COMBINED.
Also, do keep in mind that on CN, the AK PC client is more popular/downloaded than the Endfield PC client, so there’s an unaccounted for large amount of revenue coming from there, so we can assume more often then not Arknights overall revenue is beating Endfield. Also note that production values for Endfield are significantly higher than Arknights due to the scope and nature of each game(3D high fidelity explorable world vs 2D PNG gacha with stages). You just kind of have to wonder how the situation internally at HG is going where their Genshin/Wuwa competitor is raking in less profit than AK.
Hololive Dreams beating Wuwa, Endfield, LADS etc was not something I ever had on my bingo card. I'm having fun with it and I know hololive fans are used to spending money but still seems crazy for a niche rhythm game.
is it too soon to say that endfield is past the point of no return? unless they have a major rebrand soon, then I don’t see them going up anytime soon. even with wuwas mess of a launch they were able to bounce back with 2.x/rinascita, but endfield has been stuck in wuling and it clearly has not been working so far from a revenue standpoint
Honestly I feel like Wuwa wouldn't have rebounded as much as it did without its army of ex-genshin CC and disgruntled Hoyo players that were willing to overglaze the game and excuse everything through it's entire 1.x period to keep it's presence in an all time high until it finally managed to take off, which is something Endfield does not have.
(For the record I'm not saying Wuwa did not deserve it after doing a lot of efforts in its 2.0 version, but very high, very invested media presence certainly can help).
August was like collabs and a bit of SRobin for HSR?
Not too surprised by Odette seems like she is keeping in the 40 range.
Very surprised to see ZZZ above Wuwa.
Endfield is a good game but honestly it has retention issue, that game just cannot retain casual. I'll definitely come back to Endfield at one point though, the game is good but it is what it is.
Being a fan of original AK, I'd say endfield doesn't capture the charm of the original at all. Surely the 3d and 2d, different genre would make difference, but from the story telling to the content it doesn't really make me stick for long, compared to Genshin or Wwm
People can get crazy supacha their oshis especially during their birthdays so gacha reaching this high is both surprising and not at the same time
Surprised nijis and the more popular vsinger groups didn't do the rhythm gacha cheatcode, holo took this long too when ages ago people already joking release holo rhythm gacha easy 10m+
I genuinely think only fgo can pull this off, there's only 1 new game mode and new fou for 1k stats without any new QoL. Yet the fans are happily splurge their money for GSSR + 2 destiny summons + beast summons and 4 summer SSR.
The most i've seen for complaint in JP is their financial is in the red and that's it. Even there's barely any complaint against 2 kingprotea who took summer spots.
Lauma only managed to get over 40m last year with a sumeru chronicled and anni top up reset, so odette getting very close is quite alright for me. Anyway live laugh love my snow swan
Odette did better than Lauma the problem she was released in a very competitive day, because she beat Tencent tect app, who only Columbina, Sandrone and Nicole has been able to beat, in a normal day she would have rank #3 and her sales would have been higher(sadly ST do the stimate base on the ranking) so is a very good start for snezhnaya.
Considering that LADS is a mobile game, and it is not available on PC or consoles,
their presence in the top 1 of the ranking could be considered just a normal result, but 17 million in a month is literally ALL their money, and that is really serious.
You could have placed any collab and it would have been the same, most people playing nikke don't care about the random ass characters that just appear for 3 weeks and disappear forever. Shift up knows, that's why those characters are never really meta defining.
